Tony – 2.5 miles in right. Anyone want to rent my 16 year old as a pack mule for booze and water let me know. He is in trouble and I need the money! HAHA!!!

I can't wait to get there. I figure if they are still trying to figure out what this event is they don't want to go bad enough. How could you go wrong hanging around with a buch of backpackers who like light backpacking and booze?

I am bringing 1/2 my kids anyway and if there are issues there is plenty of room to retreat? The more kids the better for other kids too. Just saying! I can't wait to see you all there and meet some cool people. Even if they are gear geeks!!!

Weather forecast looks great Tony. Plus we have a sympathetic ranger working with us. Just hike in the booze. Can always make a water run.

Still waiting to hear from Morgan and Ryan. Everyone has been great to deal with this time around. Hope everyone is getting excited.

There is still a little room. Don't miss out.

Ken,

Will be there on Friday too.

So what is the total estimated number of people who have commited to attending?

Are we at around 75?

Pretty exciting to see how this started from a group of 14-16 the 1st year, about 32-35 the 2nd year, about 45 last year, to now.

Long live the Gear Geeks!!!

Tony. It will be BPLrs' en masse for sure. If all show we will be 75+. I have not done a count this week. We have room for a hundred.
Great things from small beginnings.

Finally an end to these GGG promotional bumps. Looking forward to seeing everyone. We still have a little room left if you have been on the fence about coming.

Eric. We will see you there. You might want to delete your phone information. I have it.

Weather does look awesome. Especially the no wind part.

Edit:
Looking at forecasts from different agencies give a wide range of results for next weekend from sun to rain. We'll have to wait and see.

Don't know about the 4th Annual GGG,
Now, really, how can that be?

I'm just a newbie and it's quite clear to me,
So come along and here's what you'll see.

First off you'll meet two fine men,
Both of whom share the name Ken.

They decide the where and the when,
The rest of us just show up then.

Over there is "Firewood Mark",
His contributions keep us warm in the dark.

Cameron brings some of his special beer,
For those coming from far and near.

Look, it's the famous Tony Wong!
His photo records are never wrong.

Here comes a friendly guy named Jay,
Everyone knows of his sense of play.

Who's that in the hat?
In the hat?
Why, of course, it's Kat in the hat!

There's a Bakersfield guy name of Kevin,
For making my alcohol stoves he's assured of Heaven.

Don't worry about his snoring friend Jack,
They'll put his shelter way, way in the back.

The geezers, the kids, those who need sleep,
Will be directed to site #10 and told, "Not a peep!"

TT, GG, Zpacks and Caldera Cone,
Which and how many of these do you own?

Come see the very latest gear,
All that's new will be here.

We have help from the rangers,
So don't stay away, don't be strangers.

Another year at Coe!!!

Come on, give GGG a go!!!

That is absolutely fantastic Jane!
Our own poem. How wonderful.
And it's good too!

May I humbly suggest an additional verse?

Who's that in the distance who has an answer for every post?
Well everyone knows him but he won't show… That's ol' ___ _____.

Thanks for the poem Jane, I love it, hope to see you there again. On a weather note the Farmers Almanac is calling for Feb. 16th-19th fair at first then stormy. We shall see! This forcast is for the Pacific Southwest, which includes California, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. It has been pretty accurate this year, and we should see most of or rain totall from Feb.-May. It better not rain, I just bought a new/used mountain bike to ride into camp.

Hey Jack,
Was that a thinly disguised offer to shuttle our overloaded packs to camp on your bike. I call first haul.
