Maybe not, but a rickshaw would be perfect! Or some Senior Cycles

Anyone have one that they are bringing? Just Todd? Which I am looking forward to seeing!
Anyone have anything in particular that they want to see/try?
Just saying it would be a good idea if convenient.

Park here.

That's the overflow parking lot that I referred to earlier.

(applause all around)
Ken, the other Ken did not describe it as the overflow parking lot, and that's why I did, just so drivers would know what they are looking for.

Rest up. It's next weekend!
Read first post in thread again if it's been awhile, things change.
Drive safe.
Would you all be interested in a get together, say once a year at least?
Guess what? This already takes place! It's called the GGG and you can learn more about it here in this very thread.
Go to the beginning and see if you want to join us. Time and space is running out. PM me or chime in here.
I like the forcast, and the new Avatar Ken.
Rain likely tonight AND Wednesday….could affect the road coming in….please let's hope not!
This is a little valentine from Andrea and me for all the wonderful friends we’ve made, the many helpful things we’ve learned and the amazingly creative gear makers we’ve met. With long hours at work and a family member ill, we had to do it in little bits and pieces whenever we could.
We hope this brings a few laughs, and helps remind everyone that it’s not just about the gear and technique, but about the friendships and great trips together. And hopefully it also helps us all avoid taking ourselves too seriously at times.
For those sitting on the fence about coming to the 4th Annual SF Bay Area GGG next weekend, don’t be shy – you’ll have a great time and learn a lot.
And for those of you who aren’t yet BPL members, hope this encourages you to take the very modest plunge and help support our community.
Backpackers Gone Wild: BPL 3rd Annual SF Bay Area Gathering of Gear Geeks (GGG) Feb 26-27, 2011 from Mountainwalker on Vimeo.
Some memorable moments:
-The Gear Stove Boil-Off – WARNING this gets HOT!
-What happens in Coe stays in Coe and things that go bump in the night
-How Tony makes it through a cold lonely night
-Richard Nisley guest interview
-Styrofoam snow and picnicking BPL style
-What lightweight backpackers really sound like
-Debbie’s first place win for shared item
-The next Backpackers Gone Wild casting event
[NOTE – the 2011 trip was in January not February, will correct on the video soon]
Is there a way to embed the actual video window in the thread? Do BPL forums allow that?
Love to have it play right from inside the thread.
Great job EJ! Looks fantastic!!
No, there is no way to embed videos.
I am bringing hats as well as some miscellaneous gear I would like to sell. Should I bother making… and bringing hammocking gear, specifically no see um sleeves, or should I just try and make more hats?
Your input is very appreciated and I will not take any suggestion as an intent to buy anything. Just trying to put my energy into the right place.
Thanks a bunch!
Katharina
Anyone going down Friday afternoon and coming back Sunday evening want to carpool? I'm in Berkeley and can drive and can carry three total (including me, I mean).
I am definitely in for a Hat Kat.. or is it Kat in the Hat?
Awesome video! Are you going to be this years Videographer?
Thanks for the vote of confidence on the brownies, EJ! I'm planning on bringing some again. But wow, I'd forgotten about you filming and how awkward I'd felt with the camera on me…so much for my 15 minutes of fame. :-)
Looking forward to seeing everyone there and actually staying for the whole event this time –
Debbie
Can the no-see-um sleeves double as fishnet stockings if you think you might get lucky in the backcountry and want to dress appropriately? Ummmm, not for me, of course! Ha ha. No no, not for me. For, ummmmm, my friend. Yeah, my friend……..
Doug, I think they will work fine on your inflatab.., I mean your friend, yeah, your friend.
Anyone heading into the backcountry on Sunday/Monday? Where you going?
Any thoughts on whether Coyote Creek will be crossable this year?
