"Who is in for a Friday night hike to the group camp?"
You can put me down as a maybe. I'm hoping to, but can't commit quite yet.
Ken,
Just a heads up, I sent payment for myself +2. Thanks you!
You coming?
So just the 60 of us? Seems awfully low. Are there others who want to come who have not yet spoken up? Has my behavior of late scared you off? Seen that picture of Doug? It's OK he won't be there.
I do believe The Aerins will make it again (more news later in the week). So Aaron and Erin + baked goods…
We're contemplating putting together Steam-bake(d) Goody Kits (muffin cup, ingredients) of sorts, if you will; this would require folks to (steam?) bake their own treat, however. It could make for a fun activity and if extra/plenty of water is trucked in, it wouldn't be a problem. Thoughts?
Friday night hike sounds good.
I'm planning on coming. Paypal contribution sent. Looking forward to it!
Make Your Own Goodies – I like it.
Yum! Sounds great!
Please add Matthew Edwards to the list!
Okay so I have paypaled some $ to you Ken.
I am planning to leave for Henry Coe sometime on Friday (flexible) and returning Ben Lomond (via San Jose) sometime on Sunday (also flexible).
I have 1 rider so far in my truck.
Might be going by way of Corrolitos and Hecker Pass.
I still have room for one more (small)person in the jump seat of my club cab pickup.
Matthew, I am in Scotts Valley just up the road…but I will leaving right after work in San Jose around 3 ish
Sorry that cannot carpool…hit up Kat, she lives near Davenport
Paypal sent. Count me in +1 for the Friday hike if all goes well till then. I'll be coming from Bakersfield (lower Cen Cal) and don't mind picking anyone up along the way. Driving a 4 door Jeep Wrangler, 3 extra seats and plenty of room. Just a warning, if the weather keeps up, there might be a chance I'll end up driving with no doors and top. (:
@ Christopher Glad you are coming. There are a number of folks coming up from the valley. Carpooling should be possible.
TRAFFIC INFO. Westbound deck of the Oakland Bay Bridge will be closed President's Day Weekend from Friday through Tues.
More here http://baybridgeinfo.org/
Be careful and allow extra travel time.
This screws up my drive home. Alternate route instead ;)
Anyone want to carpool from Sacramento?
Coming up quick! Get some time off from work and come on and join the fun! Make new friends, see old friends. More equipment than you can shake a stick at. It only happens once a year(so far). So don't miss out. Carpool.
Please help defer costs of the GGG reservations and incidentals Paypal of funds would be greatly appreciated.
Paypal to kenthompson2@mac.com
Please let me know if you are in for Friday Night.(hint: don't miss it) Night hike to camp from the HQ
$10 or so per head should cover all expenses, with any extra going to the Coe Park Fund.
Henry W. Coe Park always has financial need. If you would like to help, please consider donating to the Coe Park Fund.
Information can be found here.
Please carpool.
Thanks again.
see first post in thread for more detailed information
Pictures and words here.
And the year before
And the first one
Whatever it is it is happening in 3 weeks.
You coming?
Three weeks.
R.S.V.P. if you have not already.
Thanks for everyones cooperation so far.
Just wanted to mention I was coming with +1.
Thanks.
See first post in thread.
@Ken,
We're planning on arriving Friday evening and I'll be bringing a +1.
@Jack –,
My wife and I will be coming through Sac Friday afternoon our way to Henry Coe. We haven't decided what we want to do after the event. We might spend the night in the Santa Cruz area so a carpool wouldn't work then. We'll let you know in advance if we skip the Santa Cruz idea so we can arrange the carpool.
So Eric? That means there will be three all together, right?
For group count, two total (My wife, she's the +1, and me).
For car count, Jack– might be catching a ride with us.
Let me know if it's still confusing.
I happened to be in the park this weekend, so I took a short detour to Manzanita Point and took a few pictures of the empty campsites 9 & 10 in case anyone that wasn't there last year is wondering what kind of space we have to work with.
