Ok the two lists above are the definitive lists. If you are on the lists please confirm. If you have NOT confirmed by Dec. 15th then those that are on the waiting list will be added and you will be removed from the list. Sorry that this sounds harsh, but the amount of folks that have expressed interest has been overwhelming. If this is like next year, then we should look at a different venue than Point Reyes due to the restrictions on the amount of folks that would like to attend. Suggestions are welcomed.

Granted it is a drive for you all but we have rental redwood groves up here for groups up to 200.

Just found this thread after reading Jay W's mention in the Trinity trip report (a place we've had our eye on). My wife and I moved out to Palo Alto from New York last year and while we loved New England, especially in fall and winter, we're loving the easy access to the outdoors here (nice hiking and trail running only 10 minutes out our door, 3 hours to Yosemite and Tahoe, 1 hour to Big Basin and under 2 hours to Point Reyes) and variety of climates and beautiful places to see and things to do. We've had our eye on Point Reyes since driving through a few months back and would LOVE to join you for a night or two if possible and meet you and other local BPLers. For this and other trips, we're equipped for 3 season and winter, and we have room for 2-3 more adults with gear with our Outback and Thule 17 cu. ft roof box.

Please keep us in mind for any other upcoming trips.

Here is an option too. If any would like to day hike with us it is a 12 mile round trip hike. It is pretty flat and easy to hike. Just a suggestion

Who could of imagined that we would have ever run into this problem of not having enough space!

I wonder if there is any other way that another site or a set of sites can be picked up for all of the others.

We might not be able to sleep at the same site, but it does not mean that we can not all hang out together til it is night time.

I literally got the last site. By 9:30 am the whole place was booked up believe it or not. Ken and I were thinking it would be a breeze to get both group sites and he got his at 9:02. I don't know how all of the sites filled up. Bizarre!!!!

I just got my reservation today from Point Reyes, Ken should be getting his today or tomorrow. Next year has to be a change of venue for this to work. Too much interest this year.

…to technology and this thread is hard to trace… I see I'm unconfirmed, what do I need at this point? I can confirm for any date in Jan, do I need to pony up some $$$?

This is probably stating the obvious, but I'm sure there will a certain number of folks that won't be able to make it on the trip for whatever reason, opening up spots for the people on the waiting list.

Ken H.: Thanks for asking. Been really busy at work and home the last couple of months so I didn't even get a chance to look at the thread until now. I'm interested, but was planning on a trail run the morning of 1/23, but I'd probably be up for Pt. Reyes later that day even if I do the run, so put me on the waiting list. Still haven't cleared this with the family, so just let me know if space opens up and I'll fish or cut bait then.
Ken, you've assembled quite an event. I vote to re-elect you as Nor Cal BPL social chair for another year :)
