Anybody drive the 152?
I’ve driven the 152 plenty of times. Usually fast moving unless there is an accident or during rush hour. Great way to get to Henry Coe if you are coming from I-5.
Thanks Frank. Will we see you there? Matt will try to be there.
Yeah. I’ll be at Mississippi Lake Friday and head over to the gather sometime Saturday. Should be fun.
Please check in with David if you plan on coming. I believe he’s heard from just 5 of you.
I’ll be there! Most likely with my bro-in-law again :) After last year’s GGG and a short trip in the Big Sur area, he has been turned! Still working on getting him fully into the UL mindset, but we’re getting there! Can’t wait to see everyone again.
Who’s heading in Friday?
I may come out Friday evening. It’s too far off for me to say for sure, but that would be my preference.
I plan on it.
New Moon on Sat, so it will be dark out there!
We’ll be heading in on Friday, some time in the afternoon/evening depending on when I can get off work.
I’ll be heading in Friday as well. See some of you on the trail! Easiest packing job for me on one of these in a long time.
Friday it is for me too, but after work :)
Well who knows what/who you’ll bump into on the way.
I am heading to Mississippi Lake Friday and will see you all Saturday mid day.

Looking forward to it Jay, been too long.
For all those hiking in Friday night, here is the sign to look for:

Excellent.
Jay, are you going in via hunting hollow?
I am taking the route I have always taken over the years and I think it is Hunting Hollow—Where’s my Map?  I take the hills to Mississippi Lake which is about 12 mile there. Do you have interest?
Jay
It sounds cool. I haven’t been out to Mississippi lake in a while. I think it’s more like 15 miles from Hunting Hollow (that would be the southern park entrance, NOT the one near Morgan Hill), then about 10 from there to the group camp area where the GGG is… so that would be 25 miles hiking out. Sounds a little high for a recreational weekend… but I know you and your rugby-man brute strength so I wasn’t ruling out that this was your route (?)
Otherwise, from the park HQ, yeah it’s about 12 miles to the lake, you’d pass the group camp area on the way, then swing back to it the next day leaving only a few miles to hike out on the final day.
Maybe there’s a third logical option that I didn’t factor in, but it would seem one of those two would be most likely? Let me know if you can, and if you’re ok with me hanging out I think I will join you.
Thanks again David. I checked to see if there is water in the tanks by camp. There is.
I’ll assume everyone who is going knows what and where to do. I’ll gladly do my best to answer any questions you may have, as I’m sure is also true with David.
Two weeks.
I still have to see what my workload is for next week, but I’m pretty certain I’ll be heading up with Nick Gatel on Friday after work, probably getting in (by car) at around 6PM.
Epic in the making.
Two weeks Craig. No repeat.
Hikin’ Jim?
More rain next week. So no worries about a fire ban. Looking forward to the hi jinx planned.
