Any questions, comments or last minute concerns? Now would be a good time.

I'm praying for rain. See you all this weekend!

Me too. Utter downpour starting at 11am Sunday.

FLAT CAT GEAR will arrive at G.G.G. West on Friday afternoon. This is the list of demonstrations that we intend to conduct. We will be giving out sample and some gifts during those demos.

Friday – Well I gotta eat so I will be baking my dinner
Friday Evening – Dry Baking Brownies with the Epicurean Titanium Esbit Stove as well as and alcohol stove. Free samples! Discussion about windscreen materials and heat shields. Q&A

Saturday Morning – Dry baking and maybe steam baking blueberry muffins
Saturday Noon – Dry Baking a SPAM & Cheese loaf
Saturday Evening – Different fuels: Denatured alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, Esbit. The Emergency Kitchen System, maybe bake a few cheeseburgers. Dry Baking more brownies! Q&A

Sunday Morning – Muffins and maybe some Monkey Bread. Then I have to head back to LA.

Let me know if there are any particular pieces of gear that you would like to see and I will check to see if I have enough room in my pack – Jon

I don't have a cell phone and need to leave a # in case of an emergency. I PMed Ken, does anyone else have a phone that they could call my sis-in-law and leave a # that I can give her? We can meet up sometime Friday if needed to work things out. I'll give her the Park #. I forgot to send Ken an PM on Tuesday, too many things going on.
Thank you all,
Duane

Allright campers, I am signing off and going to finish packing the van. I'll see you all this weekend. Thanks in advance to the forum users that will answer those questions that pop up after I leave. If you didn't get a spot this time I'm sorry. Overwhelmed with interest this time. Come out for the day on Saturday at least and enjoy the unseasonable weather and the camaraderie of fellow hikers.

Thanks for everyones input and support.

Stuck in Oakland at the moment. Cruddy airport. Also the first airport I've ever flown through where I had to go back through security for a connecting flight. Hrumph.

Where are you connecting to?

Oops. I mean stuck in the cruddy San Diego airport on my way to Oakland! Flight delayed about an hour.

Easy mistake to make – you may find Oakland a bit cruddy, too.

The propane fuel should be no different than your standard backyard bbq. I would check with Ken to see who has volunteered their firepits to see if they care about food drippings on the firepit.

Those airports are nothing like Rangoon's, or Aqaba's.

But keep in mind, Doug, that the San Diego airport probably thought of you as a bit cruddy as well. Wait until Oakland–they'll really look down on you!

Whatever, Idester, just don't eat all those brownies in one sitting. And you just have one great time with all those CA folks. Then there's the expected trip report, of course.

Rick,

The Tony Shuffle only happens around the fire after I have smoked some crack and have rolled around naked in the dew in the grass on a full moon.

Unfortunately, my neighbors don't seem to appreciate this when I roll around on my front lawn. :(

Fortunately, the temps look pretty mild this year….really not winter this year.

So we shouldn't be freezing like we were a couple of years back.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

@ Everyone,

Make sure you bring a couple of liters of water….with so many of us this year, it might be a strain on the water supply being brought in.

Tony

Aren't there some water tanks now? Maybe someone with a large pack or a bike could do a water run if we start to get low.
