Nice, sounds good so far.

As long as someone else didn't already volunteer re: photography, I can bring a few gadgets along and lead a 'roundtable' discussion. Regardless of who leads it, I hope some familiar friends such as Eric L., Adam C., and Tony W. will join in the discussion to contribute their experience with using Mirrorless, SLR, and P&S cameras respectively. I singled you guys out since we've all had conversations about photography in the recent past :)

If we have any experienced DIY'ers in the group I'd love to hear someone discuss how they made their shelter or pack, even better if they happen to have it with them.

I think flora/edibles would be very interesting, Kat.

How about teaching about the local flora and such while wearing only one of your hats?

Hey, it's just an idea! Stop hitting!

Jacob,

I'd be happy to help out with a roundtable about outdoor photography. My knowledge is not as technical or diverse as yours is, but I could come with a few tips and equipment.

I plan to make pizza, drink beer, and ponder how a magazine on lightweight backpacking can annually fail to cover this event.

Maybe someone attending should considering writing and article on the event and submit it to BPL for consideration for publication?

Happy to offer up some of my photos that I will be taking for the article.

Kat….I can hold Doug down while you use your knitting needles on him. :)

As absolutely enticing as that sounds …… I, unfortunately, won't be able to make it in Feb. Y'all have fun!

Has any body talked about watching a Movie? I will bring in a XXL Sheet to be used has a screen that is easily setup by a few trees. Projectors are getting lighter and lighter every year and a high tech person might bring one in. Double feature: The Hangover and Jeremiah Johnson.

GGG time again!

I am looking for ideas on activities and games for us to keep busy in camp.

Burnoff, Gong the Equipment, etc…

Have any good ideas? Please share them here.

See you next month.

Jacob,

I haven't said much because I am still not 100% certain I will be able to make it. I have potential work conflict. However, if I am there, I would love to join in on a photography roundtable discussion. Great idea!

Cheers,

Adam, hope you can make it.

Eric, et all, look forward to chatting.

I'm bringing in a few bombers of various winter beers, stout, porter, etc… so who ever would like to can pour your own and do some sampling. If anyone else wants to do the same we can get a make shift beer garden going, maybe for Saturday afternoon/evening? Anyone game?

Jacob, I am sure that will be happening….

For me, I cannot drink beer due to the amount of carbs associated with beer.

If anyone would like to bring wine and discuss the merits please speak up. I work in the industry and I have my level one sommelier

+1 on the wine tasting. If I come I will bring something tasty. My wife and I have a yearly thing where we do not drink alcohol for the month of January so I will be thirsty indeed!

Ken, how about a MYOG section, ie, Bring what you made and explain to others how it was done. I can bring some of my stuff, and I can also make some stuff on site, maybe others can bring some stuff to make also.
