that works for me, maybe it could carry my pack too!

If we get some kegs to the trailhead, it is probably easiest to repackage it into soda bottles, nalgenes, etc for the hike.
24oz are the best to bring in. Lightweight and then you just smash them down to carry out. But I do love Camerons BEER!
If S. Paris and/or anyone else is coming from Portland or farther north and wants to carpool, and isn't coming for all 4 days, I might be interested.
Chris
Hey All, I am still in.
Leaving Sacramento area early Friday morning if anyone wants to carpool.

We'll be needing a big chunk of this campground.
October 20-23 2011
Just 2 weeks away!!
Does anyone need anything before we go?
Am I correct that this is Morris Meadow?
That looks like the correct location for Morris Meadow.
I have numerous trash compactor bags if anyone wants/needs one for a pack liner (white, 2.2ozs).
Bring your unneeded gear for an impromptu yard sale at the trailhead.
Anyone bringing a dog with them?
My friend Deon will be bringing Kuma.
I may be bringing Tigger.
Pot smoking and drinking will be tolerated as long as everyone can behave themselves.
I realize that to some the above line is an oxymoron.
I will be leaving the East Bay on Thursday afternoon and returning on Sunday.
Anyone need a ride?
Ken – If I end up with carpool partners, we'll pick up a permit. If I come up alone, I'll probably turn up in camp without one.
Anybody bringing a MLD Trailstar??
Returning when on Sunday?
I'm pretty sure I'm in for the trip, and if I do make the drive down, I'll be bringing my Trailstar.
Doug – PM sent……
Let the countdown begin…

@saparisor: I'm pretty sure I'm in for the trip, and if I do make the drive down, I'll be bringing my Trailstar.
That would be sweet. I just want to see how much room is actually underneath one of those things. Could set it up at the initial parking area if you do not want to take it on the trail.
I am going to be bringing a 0.34 cuben fiber tarp for my main tarp, but I was planning on bringing my "HMG Echo II" and a "TarpTent Rainbow Solo" for anybody who might want to check them out and/or use either of them for the trip.
Also, if anybody wants to carry/use it, I have the 'JetBoil Sol Ti' sitting around gathering dust, you are welcome to use it. I can supply fuel.
I also have a ZPacks Blast 26 if anybody cares to give it a try. It is somewhere around 3,000 cu in (50 Liters) and a smidgen over 6 ounces. It has the removalable stays if you need them for the extra weight (max should be around 25lb bpw). Hopefully I will be able to get all of my gear for the trip into my Zero, if not, than I will need this pack, but hopefully I will not.
Just let me know ahead of time if I should bring any of those items.
@Kat P: I bought a bag of that mac-and-cheese-and-chili… my turn to share :-D
@Ken: I probably missed this in a previous post… but are bear canisters required? (you know why I ask this ;)
@Matthew: Thanks for not abandoning me on our last hike. I should do better this time… it will not be 50+ degrees hotter than I am use to – like it was on the last trip :-) Oh, I finally found one store in all of Humboldt that actually has the mini-bic lighters… so I will be sure to get your little blue one back to you!
@Jim Carr: I will be nice to finally meet you!
No bear canisters required. There are bear around though. Pack wisely.

Kat, Got the PM, thanks for the notice (Still coming, just not party vanning it)
Starting to look like 4. keep me updated at winsteadla-AT-gmail.com with any changes.
No problem, John. Most of us go with partners for safety and the camaraderie. It's important to not lose track of people. This time we'll probably have clusters strewn the entire length of the trail as everyone finds their pace.
It was sunflower seeds topping toasted couscous. I could not remember that for the life of me. Great dish.

These little trips have been some of the best of what BPL has made possible for me. Wow! I never imagined that this little trip would gather so much attention. The guest list is getting pretty long. I would like everyone on the list to give me a heads up (PM) as to your intent. I will have to make sure I have enough room for Thurs. night so please let me know if you are in for that as well.
As always I am looking forward to meeting some new BPL faces. Has been an exceptional group. Better in person than on the forums.
Bring your ideas for things that can make the annual GGG even better.
