Has anyone thought about name tags? We really ought to have some.

If anyone from out of town needs a place to crash before/after the trip I have a ton of space available.

Conveniently located on the 580/broadway auto row in oakland, I'm also able to car pool if anybody is passing through the area.

Ken, I can bring a GG Spinntwinn a very large tarp.

The rest of us who are stuck in our routines (complete with multiple days of -40 windchill in Minnesota) are expecting to see pictures of this outing!!

I have fond memories of biking and dayhiking Pt. Reyes from an earlier chapter in my life so I'm struck with nostalgia for the area.

Photos, I will taking lots of photos because it is what I do. :)

The hard part that takes a few weeks is to sort them and to clean them up using the idiot features in Photoshop Elements and then posting and putting captions with them.

So have some patience with me, but rest assured that I will have them up for everyone to see.

Good idea on the tarp….if it does sprinkle on us, a large tarp would be great.

My MLD poncho tarp really does not qualify as big. :(

It really is going to be a kick to see everyone and to see what gear we all have.

We all probably have enough stuff to have an onsite catalogue of everything in the BPL store. :)

Ok we are at around 15-16 folks. The limit is 20 and I am not sure who else will attend. I am going to have to cut this off at what we have for the group site. Sorry for those that would like to share the group site that have yet to reply.

However, how about this. If you would love to attend and have not responded yet, there are another 20 or so sites available. I do believe that they are pretty easy to get. Let me know if you'd like to meet up with us.

If anyone has a larger tarp that we can string up for a group area, that would be cool.

Good idea on the tarp Ken, we should bring several tarps to be safe and covered. I will bring a tarp.

I have an 8×10 tarp I can bring. I was also thinking of bringing a lantern. Might be nicer than a bunch of headlamps in the face at the table.

Will be out of town Jay. Seen them a bunch though. They always put on a good show. Isn't that Super Bowl weekend too???

A few questions, y'all:

1) Bugs. Is anyone expecting them? I am inclined to think they won't be out based on previous experiences around here, but Wildcat might be near enough to water that they'll be an issue?

2) Shuttle from BV to Palomarin: do we have enough seats for shuttling everyone? And what time is everyone expecting to get back to their cars? (I actually have to be somewhere by 6pm Sunday, ugh).

Ken, if you were so inclined to bring a tarp that would be cool. Nothing like spending half of your day in a tarp and then going to sleep in your tarp.

I do have a black Diamond lantern that is one of those small new ones that they sell at REI. I will be bringing that

Nate, how funny that we have had such awesome weather and then all of a sudden, we have rain coming huh. I hear that it is not a storm but a chance of showers with the most being on Sunday. I'm all for an early start on Sunday, I have some work stuff that I need to do when I get home.

Guys we are going to need some help with the shuttles after the hike.

Did you get my PM that I sent to you last week?

Just a thought to streamline things:

1. Can Jeremy & I meet you at your place & drop my car off
2. Then go to Hub Caps, eat and then head out to the trail
3. We might want to meet eariler at 8:30 am vs. 9:30 to give us time to eat and plenty of time to reach the trail head by the planned 11 am.

Please let me know if that works for you….also, I would need your address.

Probably not, but rain helps.

If there isn't enough shuttle space, I can hike back to Palomarin. Woulnd't mind. Just a thought. (We're bringing a pick-up truck, so no real space for shuttling people).

i thought we had an 11:30 planned start? should we go straight to Palomarin instead of the visitor's center meet site? I don't think there's any chance we'd make it to the meet site by 11:00…
