Not Bob, Ben Tang. Shortly after your comment about so many posts, so much trust.

@rOg w – yeah I mostly agree with you there.

"Essentially, life outside the web is more interesting and one can only talk about backpacking for so long before redundancy sets in."

This resonates with me. Its true of a lot of niche interest things and the internet overall as well.

However, one CAN talk about gear forever, at least I'll say that for myself :)

Facebook and blogs are killing forums everywhere, not just BPL.

I still like forums though because sometimes it's nice to have an outsider's perspective, rather than one of the many people who happened to be your friends on Facebook. Same with blogs. The problem with personalized interactive platforms is that they can lead to tunnel vision.

"Ah, but I think the tide is turning….."

Agree Doug, I've had a good feeling about the forum lately.

Nice version btw.

"Nice version btw."

I was living in Germany at the time and rode my bicycle to the concert. It was pretty amazing.

Ah, I was just wondering if that was the concert you mentioned before. Nice!

BPL isn't dead. It's just sleeping.

Or perhaps we're all just pining for the fjords of Norway…
