Desperate to lighten my load. I invested in an X -Mid Pro one person tent. As this tent uses trekking poles, which i always use, this seemed like a good idea.

My shock- corded tent poles failed in the San Juans, and when those poles fail, you have no options—especially when it rains!

Mr.Durston, a long distance hiker, incredibly creative, and small business owner; really seems to care about his products.

If you reach out to him, he will respond!

Clumsy fingers from cold,  I ditched the nice carry sack and “smooshed “ tent inside pack.

Ive used mine for years in all kinds of situations.

When home, carefully wash, rinse and hang dry while inspecting for any damage. When all good, I do not store in stuff sack and let tent “breathe” in a large cotton sack—extending longevity.

Usually difficult to obtain,  and sell out quickly, i suggest you  seriously consider one.  Get a double walled; buy the internal hanger thing for light storage. Dries in decent time;  external flap at opening,  helps protect your pack.  Roomy inside. Clever design for condensation control. Invest in Footprint.

Not too expensive.

Suggest you upgrade to better stakes.

The ones provided are ok but may not stand up to substrate demands. Also carefully scout location for this tent, as some sites may not be suitable.

Practice at home first! This tent has a different geometry.
