@David Garner – Production parts going out in a month or so (going on vacation).  It will be an Ocelot HX plate for the Inferno, FireMaple or Stash using the Fire Maple 300t.  Also, an HX prototype will be made for the Pocket Rocket Deluxe (no modifications required).

@ Brad W – The Stash Stove was loud, like a typical unregulated stove.  I suspect that they had a bad stove or it was clogged.

That could have been the half used can effect in colder temps. Even if its supposedly only propane/isobutane mix  there is a marked decrease in output when temps are in the mid 30s(short of doing any type of warming procedure). Jon had mentioned observing significant  temperature related performance drop  in his tests. Heavy butane mix would be worse.

Temps were in the 50s. Other stoves were not affected.

With 3 production samples of the Stash, I’m not able to get any of them to burn faster than 1.5 g/min at room temp, with full canisters. After 3 minutes, this rate starts to slowly decline (reaching about 1.3 g/min towards the end of a 4-minute test).

Based on the efficiency of the Jetboil Stash we measured using the Stovebench protocol with calibrated, high-precision instruments, boiling 2 cups of room temp water in 2 minutes using 3.6 g of fuel is going to be an impossibility with any of the 3 production units I have.

Update: in replicating the test conditions (room temp water, 2 cups) of the review posted by the OP, I get 4.3 to 4.5 grams of fuel consumed, and boil times of about 3 minutes.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Sometime this summer some Stash sets should show up in REI Garage Sales. Keep the pot, dump the stove…..my 2 cents worth. Or just get the slightly heavier Sterno HX pot.</p>
