Hey folks. I’m new here and I joined because I always lurked this forum for advice from people who have more experience than I.
I’m planning on going to Iceland over the summer, and the stories of high winds make me think my usual <3lb tent will not survive. I’ve also wanted to get into winter camping, so I’m considering a 4-season.
I know this isn’t light, at 6.5 lbs max and bulky, but I’m okay with going away from light every now and then. I just don’t go near harsh weather enough to want to buy top of the line like I usually so. Since it’s surplus, it can be had for cheap.
I’m wondering if you guys think this would work as a starter for my intended purposes.
