@ Roger I use Sealskinz neoprene gloves at work a few times a year. They are all good and warm …until you have to take them off and then it’s pretty much over, at least for me. With my small hands I need all gloves to fit tightly or I lose too much dexterity to do anything. Removing tight neoprene gloves which are wet on the outside, damp from sweat on the inside and in contact with dripping sleaves is tricky and trying to put the gloves back on is quite difficult imo. They are a one time deal for me; once I have to take them off I need to switch to something else. I am not a sweaty person but neoprene will do it even for me.

I’ve found that washing fleece glove liners in Nikwax DWR helps them dry faster – not get wet more slowly, just dry faster.
Using fleece gloves in snow or rain W/O BWP shells is just plain dumb. They will wet out fast.
When using neoprene gloves, just as when I use closed cell neoprene VBL sox, I use a thin poly liner. It’s more comfortable and keeps the finger or toe “pruneing” to a minimum.
