Boot Laces – What happened. Nobody has them

I’m really not trying to start anything here. This is an honest question: If you have cancelled your BPL membership, how are you posting still?

Enough already! Please, stop feeding the troll. It’s not worth engaging with someone who is so entitled, and for whom we are so unworthy.

Heck this has been the most entertainment we’ve had here on BPL in a while now!

Let’s pitch in for a free membership for the OP and watch the fireworks…..bring some popcorn.

Yes – I did. When you pay for a year you get a year membership.  It seems that you will continue to be charged annually thereafter UNLESS you cancel.

Folks,  I wish you could be a little more understanding really!.  I am not a troll nor have I said anything disrespectful or nasty to anyone that I didn’t atone for. I apologized days ago for my comment to Doug and took responsibility for it. Did anyone read it?  .

I doubt it’s the comment about Doug but the fact that we’re still going on about freaking shoe laces and your resistance to trying something that is not standard operating procedure for you.

I remember that one, Jerry. Seems like he got roasted pretty quickly. I don’t recall if he was honestly trying to help or not.

he was honestly trying to help, but the holier than thou’s on BPL did their usual number on him. Not sure why Jerry would hold it up as a favorite, it was the worst of BPL on display, as I recall, not the best, and not very funny.

The reason it was funny is that REI is not into lightweight backpacking which is the whole point of this website.  They don’t carry a lot of equipment that appeals to people here.  He did not have the expertise to answer questions.

Based on your response Doug, he must not have been treated respectfully.  I forget.  There’s no reason for that.  That’s not what I’m talking about.

I know Jerry, you’re one of the nicest people I know, truly. Drives me crazy sometimes…. :-)

Alright. I’m going to refer everyone to the forum guidelines, specifically numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8. I think that several people (including perhaps the OP) have either gotten close to crossing the line or have crossed the line a little in this thread. I don’t think any huge injustices or injuries have occurred but I think it’s time to shut this topic down rather than dragging it out.

It might be a bit of an oversimplification but I think the forum guidelines can be boiled down to this: be nice to each other.
