Congratulations Sarah!!!! In honor of your upcoming ultralighter, here are a couple of mine. :-)

My daughter Lily and I on her first backpack this past summer. The ugly mug is me- NOT her!!!!

This is Henry and I at the Ancient Lakes in Eastern Washington. He rode his balance bike the 3 miles and I hauled the gear.

LOVE the Ancient Lakes photo! I took Ford there years ago and we listened to coyotes all night – it was a good trip in early spring :-)

It will be fun taking two kids, grateful one can carry a pack donkeys load though! (I can carry the baby stuff and baby, the boy can carry our gear). More reason to stay UL all the time, eh?

My avatar actually has my ugly mug pasted right on it clear as day but here is another shot from Dusy Meadows between Bishop Pass and Leconte Valley in the Sierras. This picture is about 2 years old so it is before trying to be UL. I am carrying about 40lbs here.

Yeah…you got it, that was Bake Oven Knob (along the AT in NE Pennsylvania). My little guy (7 yrs.) is a great hiker, even with the PA rocks.
