Great pics Thomas! I remember doing that when I was younger. Good looking little man you have there.
Dec 21, 2009 at 6:06 pm #1556019Hey don't pick on Dougles too much I'm still single too (my little sister informed me that she wanted to be an aunt soon and expects me to do something about it:).
Dec 21, 2009 at 6:32 pm #1556025>>I thought Diane would be a bit younger (THAT DOES NOT MEAN DIANE LOOKS OLD!!!)
Well, there's my first concrete indication that the bloom has finally, irrevocably faded off my youth. It's a sad sad day. Guess I'll have another glass of wine.
On the other hand, even though I'm old enough to be some of you all's mothers, I can hike 30 miles a day if I want to. I couldn't do that when I was 20, or even when I was 30.
Here's another picture of me leaving from my front door to hike from Santa Barbara to the PCT.

That's not what I said! I …. I ….. oh heck. I give up.
Does BPL sell that switch that supposed to engage the brain BEFORE the vocal chords? I hope it's carbon fiber…..
Dec 21, 2009 at 6:42 pm #1556030The way I read it… Douglas thought Diane was a young teenage hiker — but Diane turned out to be a lady hiker.
(Doug — you owe me.)
Dec 21, 2009 at 6:54 pm #1556032AnonymousInactiveThat pic sure brings back memories. Back in 1975 I spent 5 blissful months spearfishing about 25 miles south of Tulum.
We were based in a Mayan village named Shamach(Xamac). Thank for tickling my memory, James.Dec 21, 2009 at 6:58 pm #1556033AnonymousInactiveHey Doug, I thought you wanted ugly.
Dec 21, 2009 at 7:00 pm #1556035AnonymousInactive"You did even worse than that, Douglas, you put it down in writing. Never, never, NEVER!
Dec 21, 2009 at 7:05 pm #1556037"Hey Doug, I thought you wanted ugly."
One surefire way to get a date — go ugly early and avoid the rush…….
I did it again, didn't I …. Sigh
