Has anyone gotten a shipping notice yet? I placed my order Friday and haven't gotten a notice yet. That's slow for Backcountry.
Mar 3, 2009 at 1:43 pm #1482370Check pms…

Mar 3, 2009 at 1:44 pm #1482372Am I the only one who thinks the guy skiing in the upper right hand corner of backcountry's site looks just like a white chicken staring intently right at you?
Mar 3, 2009 at 1:50 pm #1482374All (undisclosed number) of my orders have shipped….check your order history for an update.
Mar 3, 2009 at 1:55 pm #14823765/31/2009–the advertised expiration date of the most recent redemption code–arrived far earlier than anticipated, but I too did my part help folks avoid .ersalite temptation, and XL Thermawrap temptation as well. Strictly for the greater good.
What a wild ride, but a great boon for completing major lightening of my kit for 1000 miles of Sierra tramping this summer. Thanks for sharing!
Mar 3, 2009 at 2:08 pm #1482380I had an open cart with a daypack I was thinking about buying this morning, then a ran a virus scan and deleted cookies. Oops. I think I got more than I should have anyway. Wish I had caught an Alpinlite though.
Mar 3, 2009 at 2:11 pm #1482381I wonder if I can leave the cart open long enough for the Neoair to arrive.
Mar 3, 2009 at 2:12 pm #1482383.
Mar 3, 2009 at 2:15 pm #1482384And that is why I got a WM bag. Never would have sprung otherwise. And I have been sitting here trying not to make a comment about finding deals on JonathanB's leftovers……..
Mar 3, 2009 at 3:45 pm #1482410Thank GOD it stopped!

Like Bluto in 'Animal House' said, "It's not over till we say it's over."
I just got done making an order and the 40% promo code worked for me.
Mar 3, 2009 at 4:30 pm #1482426i had an open cart from last night and tried to check out with it a couple minutes ago, and when i went to the screen to enter credit info, the discounts all disappeared and everything was back up to regular price.
too bad, now i'm completely spoiled and will feel like i'm getting gypped unless something is more than half off regular price.
probably saved me from an uncomfortable defensive conversation with the mrs. though.
Mar 3, 2009 at 4:38 pm #1482434The Petzl E+lite and Brunton 54LU I ordered on the 28th just arrived today (Portland, OR)–with the free shipping!
I'm glad I didn't end up ponying up the extra dough for "quicker" shipping.Mar 3, 2009 at 4:58 pm #1482440My order placed yesterday shipped today; it should be here on March 9 – six days isn't bad at all.
Mar 4, 2009 at 1:27 pm #1482718Two of my four orders arrived today … the other two should be delivered tomorrow. I HOPE they don't have any additional sales in the next month … My Visa bill is going to be UGLY !!!
Mar 4, 2009 at 1:56 pm #1482725I received my complete first order today, unbelievable, free shipping and received it in 3 days from when it was ordered!
Mar 4, 2009 at 3:57 pm #1482773Mine came in yesterday. Unfortunately the socks I ordered for my son are too big. Otherwise wonderful- half dozen gas canisters for $2.15, Steripen for $60…
Mar 4, 2009 at 4:03 pm #1482775So I got an email today that the Mont-bell UL SS #3 that I ordered for my wife was out of stock. I was pretty disappointed, but they let me select another bag and did a price match that gave me the 40% off. Sign of good customer service.
I ended up spending another $40 and upgraded on temp rating by getting the UL Alpine #1, my wife is a very cold sleeper so I thought why not. Now I'm having a little remorse – I'm good with the upgrade in the temp, but forgoing all of that room that the SS offers, did I screw up?
Life was soooo much easier when I had my order placed.
Mar 4, 2009 at 4:10 pm #1482779Alpines still stretch. I had an UL Alpine #3 and I'm 6'1" 220lbs. It fit nicely. Actually you may be better off with the hugger that you ended up with.
Mar 4, 2009 at 4:32 pm #1482788That's great to hear. I keep going back and forth. I defiantly need the extra shoulder girth of the SS – but my wife might not and this will be her bag.
Mar 4, 2009 at 5:50 pm #1482809Hee hee. Just putting a couple more pairs of Darn Toughs in the basket… I'm in no rush. Just got to remember to not refresh cookies…
Mar 4, 2009 at 5:51 pm #1482810Rick… it's all fun and games until your browser crashes!
Mar 4, 2009 at 5:54 pm #1482811That happened once already. I was surprised to find my cart still full when I visited the site several days later.
Mar 4, 2009 at 6:09 pm #1482820The cookie is stored on your hard drive. I've had browser crashes and rebooted several times. backcountryoutlet.com still says my discount is good until 12/31. I'm holding out for a neoair. :)
