"I'm not as old as Tom."

Take your time. The "Golden Years"" ain't what they're cracked up to be in those Viagra commercials. :0(

"1967 3,468,521,724

1950 2,525,778,669

80+ million added every year.

Can't last."

Yup. Mom's gonna slough us off like so much dead skin, and that Great Bioengineer in the Sky will look down and mutter something like, "Sh!t, that didn't work out so well; back to the lab. Maybe it's time I gave the Cetaceans a crack at it".

"Funny how her droughts and famines and plagues never quite seem to cull those with money, power, and first class plane tickets to get the hell out."

That the way it's always been, but this time is different. They have to breathe the same air as the rest of us, and when all those little critters in the upper stratum of the sea go belly up from ocean acidification and stop producing O2, it's curtains for everyone. I take my satisfaction from the observation that they think they'll be the last to die. Wrong. Their bodyguards will be the last to die. ;0)))))

"Maybe it's time I gave the Cetaceans a crack at it…"

Ethically and environmentally speaking, I think the cetaceans have already done a better job. Too bad they don't have the weaponry to hold us off.

maybe dinosaurs will come back to power

some of them seem quite smart, like crows or parrots

" Too bad they don't have the weaponry to hold us off."

That's what next time is for. Without us around, they won't need them.

"We're all in this together…"

Make me thankful once again that I was born when I was. Those unfortunate kids are the "dead skin", and they sense it.

California, home of the oldest organism on Earth, the tallest organism on Earth, the most massive organism on earth, it's a special place!
20 billion dollars in agriculture export. Top 10 GDP in the world. Best backpacking on Earth? If we had 200 years of drought we would just tap the Pacific and move right along. Maybe Apple will make desalinization plants?
