Do we get multiple chances from multiple entries?  No?  Oh well…time for another one, anyway. 😉

    We’re drawing lots for ocelots
    that couple heat-exchanging pots!
    We’ll scribble lines
    while Jon designs
and makes good use of kilowatts!

On my horse, in a trot
I went to Vegas, brought my cot
At the table I planned to win
And gave that wheel a great big spin
But in the end I locelot

This contest has been quite fun

But soon it will all but be done

    A winner selected

    The others rejected

like Highlander “there can be only one”

Great entries everyone!  You have about a week left to enter.

Better scansion if you leave out the ‘but’ in the 2nd line.
The last line … yeah, well.

    Cheers

Don’t pick on Highlander, Roger: it is literally the best movie ever.  It won the Oscar, you know.

Even though there ended up being 4 (movies that is….). Does that mean you’ve got to create more stuff for three more contests? Ocelot, The Sequel!

Three prototypes were manufactured. One is being given away here, one on Facebook and I will keep the last one.

Excited to see this one through to production Jon. I think the PR & Inferno may end up being my UL solo solution. Quick question…. Do you foresee any development on an additional windscreen of sorts for this setup?

Three ocelots were made, said he:
and two were given out for free.
    The third was kept
    and thus I wept
because there were none left for me.

Will these actually be a production offering at some point in time? Did I miss that part of the info?

If enough of us make that assumption Bonzo, Jon will have to, right? It’s my intention to force him into a life of developing low cost, high quality accessories for my backpacking stove.

Good catch Bonzo…. Not sure if that is committed to (yet ;) ).

Here is my dilemma: the current design works well with the Sterno Inferno HX mug with no stove modifications.  An alternative design will work with all HX pots but the efficiency may be lower.  Which one makes more sense?

An Ocelot was offered up for free

Merely a limerick was required you see

    I’m surely the winner

    You chumps can simmer

Jon Fong must certainly agree with me(?)

Impossible to answer with the current information: there are just so many variables in play with producing a product like that. If I may hazard a guess, though: it likely makes more sense for the consumer to have a coupling plate that allows them to swap between various pots without buying a new adapter every time.

An Ocelot, why you know that I’ll win!

A Sterno Inferno is in my Amazon bin.

    My wife, she is pissed.

    A Pocket Rocket, I missed.

That’s why I have no credit card a’gin.

You first need to define the success criteria. What matters most?

    Greetingd!

The contest for the Experimental Ocelot HX Plate for th Pocket Rocket Deluxe ends in about 12 hours.  To eneter, submit a lymerick (not a haiku) containing the words Ocelot and excluding the word Nantucket.  Good luck everyone.

    It was a Tuesday
    afternoon in late August
    when I realized
    that I had been composing
    the wrong kind of poetry.

The contest for the Experimental HX Plate for the Pocket Rocket Deluxe is over. There were a total of 17 entries (although, not all of them followed the rules exactly) and a random winner was selected. If the winner (“win”) declines the prize, then the award would go to the person who “placed” followed by the person who “showed”. The contest results are as follows:

    Win – Bonzo
    Place – Brett A
    Show – David Thomas

Bonzo, please claim your prize and PM the mailing address to me. If you decline, please post that so that the next person can step up and claim the prize. Well done everyone!

Totes claiming this one; thanks for a great contest, Jon!! PM incoming. More bad poetry incoming as well, most likely.

@Jon – Thank you!  This contest was a great idea and we really appreciate the spirit of both the host and all of the entrants.  I had fun reading all of the poetry.  I’m glad Bonzo was the winner – they certainly put the most effort into the poetry.  And now I don’t need to buy a Pocket Rocket
