More knowledgeable experienced people SHOULD be less likely to need assistance..barring breaking a leg or such.
In thinking back about the rescues I’ve read about, none were uber hikers.
A few thru-hikers that probably should not have been though… Forging ahead in conditions they shouldn’t.
