Trying to figure some things out here. I have a SS 900ml pot that weighs 95 grams not inc lid. dimensions internal are 4 1/4″ W and 4″ in height. (yes it is SS as magnets stick to it great. My question is would going with a ti pot help with fuel efficiency?  I use a alchy stove with a wind screen. I cook for 2.  Also can you put a ti pot over a wood fire?  The only other issue that I have with this pot is the handles weld to the pot begins to go.

Thanks

In terms of fuel efficiency, you are probably not going to see a difference.  The SS mug that you have weighs 95 grams (no lid) compared to an MSR Titan at 118 grams (with a lid).  That being said, the SS mug sound like it has a super thin wall.  When you heat up say 2 cups of water, the mass of the mug becomes pretty insignificant.  I see no reason to change to a Ti mug.  BTW,  most but not all SS is non-magnetic.  My 2 cents

Odd. Most SS is NON-magnetic, or only poorly magnetic. (Most, I said.)

If you want a magnet to stick to titanium or aluminum, you can use two-sided tape.
