FRANCO, What tent was buried in snow in that Chris Townsend photo? Looks like a Scarp 1 or 2 with the external X-ing poles.
My Scarp 2 has an optional heavier duty main pole for winter. (From Tentpole Technology here in the US) It’s my feeling that with that pole and my internal X-ing poles I’d be fine in a very heavy snow. I’d only have to worry about “roof slide” snow accumulating on the sides and pressing in. One takes a shovel to it on the occasional pee trip.
