i was on the Locus Gear website checking out the CP3 hiking poles and noticed they have some pretty cool shelters as well. There are a couple of pyramids that look interesting. I’m looking for duomid-ish shelter and was wondering if anyone in BPL land has experience with the Locus ‘mids.

Yes, I have one and like it. It’s very well made. The dimensions are a bit different from MLD. One reason I went with LG is that pole extenders weren’t necessary. What I might have done differently is get the 2/3 inner instead of the 1/2. (Though if there are no mosquitos I go with a bivy anyway)

It was fun to read the threads–thanks Ken.

I also like that a pole extender isn’t necessary.

The model that interests me most is the Hapi DCF-B.  A two person mid that weighs only 11.3 oz.  And it has the door on the short side, which means way less crawling over each other to get out.  If anyone has this mid, I’d love to hear what you think of it.
