Jorgen Johansson makes the case for one base layer and the best ways to choose and use ultralight long underwear (base layers).
I suggest you reconsider using a nylon shirt as a base layer in cool/cold weather.
Nylon is a conductor of cool/cold air. You might consider experimenting with this issue before your trip.
