nice one Jeffs.
Move thread to Food, Hydration and Nutrition?
Hmmm, that’s an interesting approach to resupply – use the other hikers! You’d probably need a pretty heavy pocketknife, and it’s probably not LNT. But still, it would save a lot off food weight.
The challenge would be convincing the other hikers to bring plenty of Snickers bars along, and not eat them before you can “resupply”. You need something for dessert, after all!

Ah – are we talking here about ‘roast leg of hiker’?
What do you do with the ‘remains’?
Cheers
Well that was anticlimactic.
Every time I saw a request for a trip report I started to worry a bit then thought nah, these were all back from January.
OK guys – SORRY!!!
Story coming…stay tuned!
Gah- I clicked thinking I’d get closure. You tease! ;-)
Now we know who ate who….
Crossfit and all….must have been tough eating .
I guess we shall never know the end of the story….
Maybe Jen is just stewing over how to tell us the delicious ending…
It’s probably eating her up inside to tell her story.
Just cooking up a way to tell it.
Pass the salt.
Fun stories are easy to tell…
I hope she gets to the meat of the story.
Hmmmmmm, I wonder who ate whom?
Whole buncha peeps eagerly awaiting a tasty story….
deleted cuz ridiculously late to the party, somehow… must be my heavy pack’s fault!
this already happened. Jen ended up needing lots of water indeed . She also borrowed her friend’s knife ;)
“She also borrowed her friend’s knife ;)”
For the butchering?
There’s a scale for grading the severity of an epic on an outdoor trip from 1 to 10. 1 is being slightly late for dinner. A 10 means no member of the party ever returns and no evidence is found about what happened to them.
LOL. When BPL members get bored…
“A 10 means no member of the party ever returns and no evidence is found about what happened to them.”
“When BPL members get bored…” Yes – it’s winter in the Northwest and I don’t like to get my ten little piggies wet ;-)
