Anyone using Zpacks packing cubes?

I am currently using a Zpacks Arc Blast pack and am curious how the Zpacks packing cubes might work in my setup? For those using them, do you like them? Do they fit well into your pack with minimal gaps?  I am intrigued by the compression straps, but am also curious how they might compare to the HMG gear pods. For those using the Zpacks cubes, do they fit into the Zpacks packs as well as the HMG gear pods seem to fit into the HMG packs? There is lots of stuff out there about the HMG pods but not much about the Zpacks cubes. Just curious if anyone on this forum has used the Zpacks cubes and what they think about them?

While it’s a little off topic and not the Zpacks cubes, for those on a budget there is also a very usable option from IKEA that works really well called Rensare. Here in the uk it’s £4 for a set of 3 (a large and 2 small).

They’re not claiming to be anything super special or technical, not waterproof or anything, but they’re made of nice lightweight material and they’re perfectly usable for organising things in your bag into groups/sections.

Cubes, pods, and stuff sacks add unnecessary weight.  They help organize things in your pack, but I’m not carrying a lot of stuff, so no biggy for me to not use them.

Back to the idea of pods, I only use one – in lieu of a top pocket. All the crap that used to go into my top pocket now goes into the cube, inside my pack. It goes into my tent with me at night. Pack gets left outside, preferably hung on a tree. All other items go into stuff sacks, and food in a dry bag.

I use the lightest weight Sea to Summit netting stuff sacks for the stuff that used to go in the top pocket (which my current pack does not have). The netting bags make it easy to see the stuff inside.

Not Zpacks- but very similar – I use a SWD packing cube with their Long Haul 50 pack. Works really great, no wasted space. I put my clothes and jacket in it.
