AliExpress Windscreen for BRS-3000T

50g seams like a lot for a titanium wind screen. Especially if the stove you’re using it with is less than 1oz. I wonder why it weighs so much.

I use the Ocelot Windscreen every time.   Works great for me.

The Ocelot is awesome. I was just wondering if anyone had tried the AliExpress windscreen, and whether performance was affected by how it raises the pot higher from the burner.

The tottering setup over the thick, dry grass would give me pause. Yikes.

The AliExpress windscreen stock looks thick. I wish there were some lightweight options for the SP Gigapower from anywhere that also collapsed nicely.

I made a Ti windscreen for the Giga years ago. Pretty easy to do. The same design works beautifully for the MSR PR Deluxe. While it doesn’t fold, it nests under your pot nicely and only weighs 1 oz, while being a heck of a lot better windscreen than that Alexi thing. However, my Ti windscreen will only work with a couple stoves, while Jon Fong’s excellent Ocelot design will work with a wide variety of stoves.

That is excellent workmanship. My eyesight is so poor that it’s a lot harder than it used to be for detailed projects. I have a good and very efficient windscreen setup now but at a bit over 2 oz it could benefit from some weight loss. My pack is small and the mug I use is 600 ml, girlfriend has the same mug so I do hers first. It is very stable so happy with that and the efficiency. 5g of fuel will boil 500 mls on a cold, windy and even snowy day.
