JJ, those pics are looking all kinds of Florida-like! Where are they from?

Manfred, isn’t Marie lake proper the next small one up? Very beautiful by the way. I wanted to leap the small outlet of that higher lake and then go walking over a huge expanse of open granite on the flanks of Banner–or is it Ritter?

Sawtooth Loop in Idaho. Sky color is from a fire burning on the next ridge over, we had ashes falling in our dinner.

Somewhere along the Teton Crest in Wyoming, iirc. That’s my cuben quilt when Tim was making them early in his quiltmaking career.

Upper Titcomb Basin, I think. Definitely the Winds regardless.

Mojave Desert.

Somewhere in Virginia, I think, though maybe Pennsylvania or West Virginia. Long time ago.

jj – That one looks very much like the Florida Trail along the banks of the Suwannee River.

@DWR D: What an incredible view to wake up to! Such a lovely shot, and a wonderful campsite!

Yes, it was pretty awesome… 14,000 ft camp on Mt. McKinley. Peak in the pic is 17, 400 ft Mt Foraker

Thunder Lake in RMNP. My hiking partner pointed out we were in a no-wind situation. Ha.

I use this for my video call background, sometimes.
