A different route than other's have taken for naming schemes:

elEVAtor (EVA + elevator…would look much better as a logo than with this bland text…also levitate is pretty close too and levatate might work well even though it's not spelled properly)

Would be kind of cool to see a description/pitch for this to have various words with EVA in them:

evade
(re)evaluate
devastate
revamp
evaporate
(un)achievable
prevail

…something like "Tired of sleep EVAding you? Sick of being dEVAstated on the trail and finding sleep unachiEVAble? It's time to EVAluate your gear and get elEVAted."

…I realize that it's a bit corny sounding but I tried to write it for the most impact on the reader…
I'm sure it could be written better but I wouldn't want to spend too much time on it if you're not interested in the concept.

slogan could be something like "stop EVAding sleep and get elEVAted!" (again…it's hard to make it look cool/legible with Courier New font, the bane of a graphic designer)

I could probably help out with a logo (majored in Graphic Design for a few years) and my roommate does it for a living and might be interested in adding some padding to his resume (He'd probably be happy with just a pad or two and being able to put the work in his portfolio)

Here is a great name though….

1/8" Sleep Pad

Hi Lawson,

I'd go for something straightforward – nothing too complicated, so why not LSP – as in "Lawson's Sleeping Pad".

Two reasons:

1. With something this short, it's easy to make a logo AND

2. Three simple letters as a name is very easy to remember (everybody knows what TNF or MSR means, or -in another context- KLM, KFC, JFK, etc.etc.).

It even has a slight resemblance to LSD – although I don't know whether that is good or bad :)

PS. If you like my suggestion (and therefore I'd be in for some pads), I wouldn't count on free shipping (as I live in Spain).

Edit: You might even want to think about MSP (as in Mountainfitter Sleeping Pad), but maybe that's too similar to MSR (or MSRP).

Looking forward to putting this underneath my Klymit Static V, which is a bit too wide for my GG 1/8th pad.

Good choice for the name, I like it. Really nice price too. Placed my order for one (and some other stuff).

In reference to your request for input on future pad thickness (via the email), I'd be interested in a 1/4" pad if you had them.

I just ordered mine.
Should replace my tyvek ground sheet for colder weather.
I would love to see a thick/short one; 3/8" is ideal for me.

Per your request for input on the upcoming thicker mattresses, I would be excited to see one with a thickness such that the R-value is 4.5 or more.

Going to use it under my airmat for winter camping, and as my SUL kit sleeping mat ! Hope it will turn out to be the excellent multi-purpose piece of gear that I think it will !

Franco, no joke, I've actually been considering that!
But I think I'll keep my impatience in check long enough to see what the thicker options are.

Similar to the "utilitarian bandana" this pad will be assigned many duties. I like a pad with easy access on the outside of pack for siestas, snack breaks, packing and unpacking gear, gathering water, clean access to enter and exit tent, and the obvious extra insulation for sleeping. I see myself ordering another for cutting up into different lengths. Durability will be determined with time as I am used to using a 1/4 pad.
