Ken, Very nice! But that Unna looks a little baggy in the chest.
My family spread out to the 4 corners of the US this season, so I haven't really had Christmas yet (as far as exchanging gifts). However, my wife and I got a new WindPro stove, MLD gaiters, GTX socks, and some insulated pants within the last month in preparation for a trip to the Porcupine Mountains tomorrow.
Time to stop hemorrhaging money I don't have…
Got the Cold Avenger PRO and Black Rock Gear original down hat. Can't wait to shake 'em down in the Adirondacks!
Also, curiosity killed this cat and I ordered myself a Hennessey Hammock Asym Explorer. The quest for the ultimate hang begins this spring!
Some neat gear, Good Stuff, all!
I finally opened my box from GG.

I also got a new flashlight (.3oz, waterproof. A new set of merino wool long johns and a set of DeWalt drills/impact driver for the shop.
My poor wife only got a $400 and a Wubbers beading pliers.
My grandson made out better than both of us combined, of course. And the kids got a new custom tarp (Custom Hunters tarp, 14'x16' + wings, from Marco Gear, aka my wife and I, ho ho.) At 3lbs it is Family base camping, reborn!
I will be working on my daughters kitchen for the next few days…my version of vacation.
It is somewhere between Fletcher, NC and Gretna, LA because I ordered it Christmas Eve. ;-)
Lightheart Solo standard.

I only gained 3 ounces over my old shelter setup.

Anxiously awaiting delivery. ;-)
@ Idester,
Thank you Doug, for the answers to my questions.
Party On,
Newton
Got the Long Trail guide and ordered the End to enders guide and map for my Thru this summer.
going to be looking for a Ti pot at the REI garage sale saturday :)
My new shovel arrived just in time to hit the mountains. Brookes Range Compact Backcountry Pro. It's not UL, but it'll get the job done.
I got a Patagonia nano puff, seria designs gnar hoody, a smart wool beane,a patagonia cap 2, a ridgerest solite, and a new digital scale. Lots of small(and needed) gifts this year!
Custom made MountainGoat Hat!
cost: small
value: large
delight: HUGE

My daughter reports that the purchase experience was wonderful. Summary:
Daughter: Would like a hat, merino wool, folded edge, head circumference 23"
Kat: Color? Have a blue in stock
Daughter: He's color blind, doesn't care, dark color preferred, blue's fine
Kat: I have some nice brown yarn, can make one quickly
daughter: either would be fine
Kat: (24 hours later) The brown one is ready, will ship today
I'm only slightly color blind and I like the brown a lot. Thanks, Kat.
No pictures, but I got a much needed Patagucci Houdini to replace my old, worn Dri-Ducks (saved 3 oz. as well!). Also got a Patagonia R1 Hoody that I have been drooling over for a year or two.
Also got some gaiters that I will prbably return and get a RailRiders Adventure shirt for the PCT with.
Super excited. I particularly love the feel of the R1/Houdini combo.
MontBell Ex Light jacket for me. It is sweet!
A whole bunch of stuff – Haglofs, MLD, Rab, Warmlite, Nunatak, Sidi, Pearl Izumi, Assos (the last three used on a nice Christmas morning bike ride with my buddy, a Christmas tradition for the two of us), woof. But I bought it all for myself, so it might not count.
My absolute favorite present, though, was a successful malignant tumor (the size of a fricking football!) removal from my pup, who is once again frolicking around the back yard as if she never even had such significant surgery, and who acts more like 7 or 8 than the 13 she is! Woof, indeed!

I'm glad your pup is doing well, Douglas.
Well, I have a new- hopefully do everything :)- pack coming in a day or two. ULA Camino. I decided to sell off the Burn and Mariposa, due to their lack of ability to haul the amount of water I need to carry around here. That and I never really cared for the roll down top closure. Actually the Mariposa wasn't too bad, but not great and someone wanted to buy it for a AT thru hike, so I sold it. Hopefully, the Camino will do the trick, if not, I may have to get one of those Mchales. I guess If nothing else I'll have a nice travel pack, in the Camino.
Glad the pup is doing well.
My favorite gift is a Mountain Hardware Phantom 45 sleeping bag.
Looks like everybody got some cool stuff! Got a zebralight h51, and a good bit of cash. Probably going to get the new go pro hd hero 2 for my kayaking trips. Also bought the wife a new pack!
Got my Western Mountaineering UL bag!! Cannot wait to use it on my thru of the AT!
Outdoor Research Versaliner gloves and Leatherman Style CS multi tool. Went along with my early MLD Exodus FS present :)
Not much camping specific gear under the tree this year, but I did buy a TT Scarp 2 in late November if that counts, and put in an order for an MLD BigStar the week before Christmas.
Otherwise, a pair of Baffin Impact boots for tromping in the snow, (if we ever get snow in Wisconsin this year) and a lightly used Bark River rampless Gunny purchased at a very nice price on HF. Not LW by any means, but a knife worthy of a lifetime of use.
And Doug, I am very happy that your pup is recovering well. Best x-mas gift right there!
I don't celebrate Christmas but I treated myself to a Katabatic Chisos, HMG Echo I tarp, and a HMG Windrider. Still waiting on the tarp and pack. Dove in head first for my very first tarp.
Ibex hooded indie
Rab Latok Alpine gaiters
Julba sherpa sunglasses
Ultimate Direction Wasp
Sewing gear for MYOG projects.
I got a seek outside woodstove and pipe. Totally surprised. My wife knew I wanted one and she went through my search history and told my very generous parents. Now I have to get my pyramid tent modified. Can't wait to try it out.
Ordered a ZPacks Hexamid Solo+ with the beak, not here yet, and some new 7" Ti stakes. My wife bought me a Leatherman Micra, in red, with my name on it, so when I lose it somebody will know who it belonged to.
I treated myself to two great deals in the last 2 weeks; a Zpacks Hexamid Solo bought here off the gear trade forum, and a FF Rock Wren from Craigslist. I already feel lighter, thriftier, and got just what I wanted. THe BPL Forums have been great for gear and tips!
I'm still waiting on it, but I treated myself to a Hammock Gear Cuben Fiber Tarp. Should work nicely on the ground as well for those tree-less adventures.
