Nope. I'm a very happy person. Just tired of constantly reading rude posts ended with B.G.

Some people aren't limited to thinking inside the box.
OP wants a stainless steel, unlined bottle that will work with his model of steripen.
Most people feel constrained by all those requirements.
A few will suggest an aluminum bottle, with a liner, that won't work with the steripen the OP has.
It is just a different way of seeing the world.
Thanks for the additional info, Dale.
Just minutes ago, I learned of the 3/4 liter Camelbak SS bottle. One reviewer mentioned it being heavy. I could see that with all the lid/straw gadgetry. I have to wonder though….what it would weigh with a simpler lid (fantasizing that the bottle itself is lighter and swapping its lid/straw nonsense for a simple straightforward lid).
Anyone have some weights on this thing, with and without the lid/straw?

Thanks….I think. ?
I don't like the insides of "the" box. Never been comfortable there.
I've owned one of the Camelbak stainless bottles — 8.5oz. You can get a simpler cap with a loop— the accessories for the similar looking plastic bottles will fit the stainless one, but the weight saved won't be much more than an ounce or two. With the cap shown you can get an accessory drinking tube and drink from the bottle on the fly like you would with a bladder. I like the Camelbak bottle in the car as you don't tip it to drink from it.
For some reason, I was believing all this time that I had to have a wide mouth. Tonight, on a whim, I decided to see if my Steripen would work with the Classic Klean Kanteen with its 1.75" opening and vola! It works…..and I like it better.
I don't know if that bit of info opens up some additional possibilities or not. Once again, I defer to the bottle gurus. Are there any unlined metal ~27 oz bottles, with a 1.75" opening, that are lighter than the Klean Kanteen?
So what model steripen do you have?
