I already have a pair and I don't use them as they really are only like socks. They do not keep your feet dry or warm when wet. Sorry just thought I would share this.

Just get some gore-tex socks to wear inside your wet/nasty shoes. They keep my feet clean and warm. And then your escaping body heat can help dry your shoes. No worse hit on weight either.

DocBoom is a life member here and is thruhiking the AT which is where I found the info.

Haven't ordered yet. I'll hold off on the buy till tonight to see what people think.

Just looking for some simple camp shoes to wear when I'd rather not go barefoot and/or my shoes are wettttt.

For example:

Hiking the Gunnison Spur Trail offtrail through snow up to my thighs in places…I made camp and a fire. My sprint aquatics are falling apart and almost unusable. I was stoked to have them and put dry socks on underneath them while doing some camp stuff. The netting rips super easy though.

I'm familiar with zems but I think they are out of the price range/not in stock. I did ask them about a group discount on the original lows that are on sale. We'll see…

For now, I'm holding off till tomorrow just in case anyone wants to back out. I'll call zems tomorrow about a group discount and let you all know.

I will still order these. For the protection and freedom from shoes or when I don't want to go barefoot or walk around in socks.

Thanks everyone..til' tomorrow.

Michael,

I am still in if you decide to order. If the socks don't work for me as camp shoes, I'll use them for socks when fly fishing in my water shoes.

Thanks!

I emailed everyone in the thread…will order for everyone Monday morning regardless of the amount that wants in. Prices won't change. If you want out let me know, if you want in, send money before Monday morning if you haven't already. Sorry for the delay or any confusion.

Thanks,
Michael

I ordered a pair of 2XL and they came in Pink. Free for the first person to PM me. I'll mail them here from work today. Make sure to put on this site that you PM'd me.

Phoned in the order with sizing preferences so no one is getting pink, etc if their color isn't in stock.

D.Lutz…ordered for you just need your payment or please let me know you if you don't want them.

Will post in thread when I ship out.

Cheers~

Hello everyone. Was wondering where all the orders were coming from in the past week.
The longunderwearsales.com site is mine and I'm a long distance backpacker. So, I'm not only aware of the need for lightweight camp shoes or river fording shoes, I'm always on the lookout for better, lighter, stronger gear for backpackers.

The shipping policy works like this: up to 2 pair is $5 for shipping. More than 2 pair is $8 up to 1000 pair. (not that we have that many)

The shoes are neoprene and light. I buy them in Bangkok from a Billibong factory (quality surfboard equipment maker) They are warm when wet although thickness of neoprene determines how warm. These are a light to mid-weight wet suit material.

Any questions, feel free to ask. either thru this site or the email on the http://www.longunderwearsales.com site info@longunderwearsales.com

Either way, I am the one who answers the email.
Thanks for all the buys.
We are working on a lightweight bright orange packcover to be ready for hunting season.
As well as our normal long underwear sales.

Enjoy your hiking gentlemen.

Please read if you ordered these. This is becoming a bit frustrating :)

The order came wrong & they run snug. I'm a 9.5/10 and the XXXL are more comfortable for me. XXL are two constricting for my personal tastes and my foots circulation. The snug fit may work for some of you or they may stretch with wear.

I put in an order for:

med. 1
xl 4
xxl 4
xxxl 3
5xl 1

Instead I got:

small 1
med. 1
large 3
xl 1
xxl 4
xxxl 2
5xl 1

I've emailed two people so far…I'm sending out the 5xl's tomorrow unless I hear otherwise. Does anyone want to size up? I have to send back some stuff anyway.

PLEASE don't use personal messages, please email me. My email is in my profile.

Thanks, sorry for the snafu.

Michael, I ordered a 3xL my normal shoe size is a 11.5-12 so just send me what you think will fit best. Thanks, Jack

Yeah, I should probably size up as I don't think either of us want a tight fit. Is the bigger size snug enough to not come off in a stream crossing? As long as it works for that, I'd prefer the looser fit in camp (and maybe being able to wear socks underneath.

Michael,
I received my 2 pair today and they fit great.
Large for my wife who wears a woman's size 5 and mine XXXL and I wear a size 9.5 – 10.
Thanks for all the trouble you went through to save us all a few bucks.

I got mine yesterday. Thanks Mike for making this happen. I also appreciate the suggest to up-size. My original choice would have definitely been too small.

Do these have any sort of a sole?

Or is the bottom the same thickness of neoprene?

Thanks.

also. Maybe a little snug, but they'll be fine for how I plan to use them…..

Thanks.

I am a size 10 shoe and got a 2XL… i possibly should have ordered a 3XL but I was originally worried about the shoe being loose and not serving the purpose I wanted it for (stream crossing, swimming, camp shoe keeping out debris).

They stretch a lot and I found them tight when I first put them on but a little more relaxed after walking around in them for like an hour.

edit: I took the shoes last night and stretched them over a pair of size 10 sperry topsiders and let them overnight. Definitely stretched them out to the point that they are now comfortable.
