Let's meet up at A.W. Way county park for a better camping experience than what is available at the Mattole trailhead camp Friday night. Short drive in to the trailhead from there.

Anyone else from the Bay Area, or vicinity, want to carpool?

This trip is on! Meetup Friday (4/8) night at A.W. Way County Park. Make the 10 mile drive to the trailhead early Sat. Hike to Spanish Flat, 10 miles. Enjoy ourselves and return on Sunday.

This weekend works better for me than the other trip down south. And I really want to see what the Lost Coast Trail looks like.

I'm in Sacramento, also looking to carpool. I can take amtrak a little bit, also.

Carpool, I think perhaps Ben and I, so far.

David, Jesse, Cameron, Jay??

I've recently relocated to SF and am interested in seeing the Lost Coast. I was thinking about going end to end solo but it seems smarter to go with people familiar with the area and carpool would work well.
I'm not sure if this trip is open to anyone or not?

Thanks very much, Ken. Working out details with Katharina. Looking forward to seeing some light weight options in use.

Don't forget your bear canisters and good attitudes. See you all on Friday. 1st beer is on me… We'll have the fire going.

I can't go. I have to be in… Fresno. I've got the itch to go backpacking pretty bad, and I wish I could join.

National parks week is coming up and it'll be free entrance all over the country. April 16th-24th. I'll be looking to take a trip then.

I will be starting with the group (and camping with them on friday), but me and a first timer will be doing a yo-yo of the trail if anyone wants to join. 10 miles a day ish, so 5 days total. We'll finish Wednesday.
Would love to have a few more people out there.

Thanks ken, sounds great. I really need to get out and hit the trail! Life has been a bit chaotic lately… PERFECT TIMING! sure wish I had an ursak instead of my big ole' bv450 LOL!

I'll be bringing my backcountry boiler, wish me luck…

I guess the only other decision is what kind of beer and or whisk(e)y to bring? ;)

Ursacks are not approved for use in the King Range. Beer and whiskey/whisky are though…

Last bump as we leave tomorrow. Trip report to follow…

Thanks to everybody who came for this great trip over the weekend!

Thanks to Ken for organizing and leading the trip!

Here are my own cheesy iPhone videos and photos – but I am sure others on the trip took much nicer photos.
