Huzefa—have you completely recovered from your Denge fever yet? Winter camping season is upon us. We could use the new cuben down pad product soon. Any more progress on the next prototype?

Huzefa, +1 on recovery wishes.

I'd also be very interested in the pad. Would love to know when you think you might actually be producing them.

Thanks for the wishes. I have fully recovered from fever now.

There has been some unfortunate delay. Adhesive I ordered turned out to be expired and I couldnt get a good bonding. Another order is on the way.

I know winter is here and I will try my best to get these shipped by end of December, so you can use it on your Jan trips.

I wrote Huzefa the other day. He said he hopes to ship in January. Didn't say when in January. ;-)

Please add me to your list for a possible order. I would be interested in either a 72x20x3.5 or 77.5x26x3.5. I prefer BLACK as a color. This would be a replacement for my Exped winter setup.

Any word on what a price range might be? I am looking at a couple different options for a winter pad, but depending on the prices for these, it will make the decision much easier. (or harder)…

I am probably interested in TWO pads, both 72 x 20 or 22. Don't care about color. Didn't see any mention in the whole thread of price though, so that would be a deciding factor. Looks great though.

"He did a bob molen?"

Hi,

If Huzefa took money from folks for his Cuben Down Air Pad I would agree with you. That is unless he is talking to them and not to us.

If he just couldn't get it to work – or work yet then give him a bit of slack.

If a Cuben Down Air Mattress was easy or he did get it to work, maybe he just doesn't want someone stealing his idea and making one to sell before he can get his to the market. Any new idea someone comes up with will get ripped off so fast it will make your head spin.

It is interesting watching how the chase for money can change people.

I hope he's OK. He hasn't posted for about a month. I'd place my trust in him personally, so my feeling is that perhaps something else is going on. I hope whatever it is, that it's not bad for Huzefa.

Where did he go??? I hope he is ok…I was interested in a cuben fiber neoair and was hoping he was going to bring these things to market…

…hmmm maybe I will make one myself…Lets see if it can be done…

I hope Huzefa is alright.

This seemed like a solid idea and it will be interesting to see what comes of his ideas and what other versions others come up with.

I think I am going to try for a Large.. 77" x 25" sounds really comfy.. The Neo Air in this size weighs 19oz…If the seams hold and it doesn't spring any leaks, I should be able to beat that by 10oz..

Didn't he end up selling his prototype on gear swap? Anyone we know pick it up?
It's always interesting to me to read older threads with posters who no longer post. And im talking about people who would post multiple times a day…suddenly just disappear. Always curious to know what changes might have occured in their outside life.

Yeah he's gone at this point. I marked it off my gear list a long time ago.
