Those 4 clips with pocket are the ones to be used for both the freestanding bugnet and the poles inside set-up.
Initially I used a piece of string with a little loop were the pole tip set in.
(I think that we can call the Tarptent made version "pole pocket set", just to have a term for that.)
So you can make your own or order them via the comment box in the order page or just E Mail TT and someone will tell you what to do.
As for the fly to ground gap, it is 4" at the corner struts going up to 8" at the pole. The end varies from 4" at the corner up to almost 5" at the middle strut.
