Kevin,

Third order placed in three days .. PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!
Mar 1, 2009 at 9:09 am #1481716I'm making a copy of this thread and when things get flipped I'll expect Another 25% off. ;-)
Wowazzz!
'cause nobody can use this much gear….can they?
Mar 1, 2009 at 9:12 am #1481718Successfully placed an order yesterday and just thought of one more thing I need.
Unable to get the code to work as of now.
Anybody else, or is it just me?Mar 1, 2009 at 9:14 am #1481720Chris,
It's not just you. I have been on for the last 15 minutes trying and it isn't working at all.
Mar 1, 2009 at 9:22 am #1481721The new code worked for me about an hour ago, but I ended up not going through with the purchase.
I was going to get a vapor trail size small backpack and donate it to the scout troop I am involved with, but the code did not apply to this pack as it was already marked down to $90. The Montbell thermawrap vest only came in sizes small, medium or extra-large. It looked like backcountry had two versions of the thermawrap vest. The one that was offering size medium looked to be an older model and its regular price was listed at $30 more than the new model, so 40% of the old model wasn't a great savings over just getting the new model. Plus since I'm border line medium/large, I just thought I should pass on this one. I was also going to get the platypus gravity filter system, then I thought about the ULA amigo pro which is both lighter and cheaper than even the sale price of the platypus.
So I was able to save 100% by just closing my web browser!

That's helpful.
However, I still need a decent laptop bag.Mar 1, 2009 at 9:34 am #1481725I might have been one of the last ones to place an order as I realized I wanted one more item and tired to go back to place the order a few minutes later and it wouldn't take it.
Yes, it was a great deal !!! THANKS again!Mar 1, 2009 at 9:52 am #1481728Still works for me…
Mar 1, 2009 at 9:55 am #1481730What time?
Since the last posts were made?Mar 1, 2009 at 10:05 am #1481735I finally gave in, and now it tells me the coupon has been used the maximum number of times.
I just saved a bunch !
Mar 1, 2009 at 10:09 am #1481736Alas, I cleared cookies and cache and now it is expired.
Mar 1, 2009 at 10:40 am #1481740Looks like it's finally done. Somebody probably came in and started looking at all the orders and figured out that the BPL crowd had nearly cleaned them out.
Mar 1, 2009 at 10:44 am #1481742….unless you still have your cart open! Muahahhaha.
2 orders down 1 more to go. 8)
Mar 1, 2009 at 11:15 am #1481744I had a 50% off coupon for the outlet a while back. Bought a GG Virga for $50. It also qualified for Free shipping! I just looked on the site and they have the GG Vapor Trail for $90 and free shipping. If I had the extra cash I would defintitely go for it. Anyway I thought I would mention it here.

Mar 1, 2009 at 12:44 pm #1481756Steve O, I don't know whether to thank you, or take a swing at you. I know which my wife would do.
Mar 1, 2009 at 7:10 pm #1481843"Invalid redemption code"
Invalid now?
Mar 2, 2009 at 5:13 am #1481885Don't know what this means but…
I had a cart open on my laptop last night at home and was getting a code used max times type error. This morning at work I was able to check out using the same cart without error.

make sure to follow the original instructions.
is anyone who placed an order with the other codes having problems?
Mar 2, 2009 at 2:23 pm #1482035Thanks again Steve.
So I ordered a mountain bike last friday with your code. Today I received a phone call from Backcountry (I nearly fainted thinking they had caught my order). The customer rep only wanted to tell me that the bike was being assembled and that it would take an extra couple of days to ship.
P.s. the new code works fine… I wonder what else I can buy… How are they not catching this huge mistake?!?
Mar 2, 2009 at 2:25 pm #1482036Is the new code still 40%?
If you are on the fence you can do what I did. I entered the code on saturday but didn't submit the order. The discount is still active for me.
Mar 2, 2009 at 2:28 pm #1482039Maybe it is clever marketing as a previous poster mentioned? Lets not whip up any bad karma here.
Ah, and I can't take credit for the other two codes, I only found this one.
Mar 2, 2009 at 2:28 pm #1482040There's been speculation elsewhere that this may not be a mistake; it could be a clever marketing technique to sell off excess inventory. It certainly seems to be working with us. They've created uncertainty as to how long this will last, so we all pull the trigger quickly without taking time to think it over.
That said, it may be a mistake, but who knows? Isn't icebreaker still running their 42% off everything with no announced end date? Could be the same thing?
