What gear did Santa put under your tree this year?
I got a Marmot Pounder sleeping bag and an REI giftcard!
Not sure about the pounder, may exchange it for down as I'm a cold sleeper, but all in all, a great Christmas.

Dec 25, 2008 at 1:46 pm #1466441Montbell UL down inner vest. Really nice!!
Dec 25, 2008 at 1:48 pm #1466442Same issue on the PBL 40% off–about half the items I wanted were out of stock.
Dec 25, 2008 at 1:59 pm #1466443I did get some cool Pearl Izumi thermal tights and foot warmers for winter mt. biking though. Thank you Santa!
Dec 25, 2008 at 2:07 pm #1466444I got the SPOT…which I immediately returned for a set of Gossamer Gear Light Trek 4 poles (on order at this point). I also got the 2009 ULA Circuit.
With that said, anyone want to buy my 2008 ULA Circuit purchased in roughly Aug/Sep 2008 and used ONCE over a weekend. I can be VERY flexible on the price. It looks new and has nothing wrong with it. Size Large with XL belt…and I'd be happy to knock $20 off the agreed price if someone wants to get a smaller belt from ULA. This was new for $200ish just a couple months ago.

Dec 25, 2008 at 6:43 pm #1466470I asked for this and was told it would just lead to me buying more stuff! But nice to see other people are "out" to their families as ounce-obsessed.
Dec 25, 2008 at 6:57 pm #1466473Do you know where they got the fishing rod/reel from?
Dec 25, 2008 at 7:06 pm #1466474It not very light but a got 2 Tomahawks! They are great car camping and they are fun too!
Dec 25, 2008 at 7:20 pm #1466475I had one of these and it worked for some sucker fish.
Dec 25, 2008 at 8:14 pm #1466488Brand name on the box is Coleman. Site the manual references is "http://www.telebrands.com/FishPen.html".
My wife picked it up at the local Bed, Bath and Beyond store.
Using my nifty new digital scale it comes out at 5.8 oz for the pole and reel. It does warn that it is only intended for fish up to 2 lbs.
I'll be giving it a try at Isle Royale this year …
