Nice composition! Cool.

Been using snowshoes this Winter and have noticed tracks in the snow, too. I followed what I think were fox tracks for a while last weekend. I found it interesting how many animals are out and about in snow based on the tracks I've seen.

I would have been happy to be in the water so you wouldn't have noticed how often I peed my pants when the lions came within 20 meters of me!

"Look near the waterline."

Hard to tell, things are a little blurry, but is that a wolverine?

Tom,
Yeah, sorry for the bad picture. I think it was some sort of weasel.

Travis,
I don't know the country or it's inhabitants, but if you have "pine martens", I think that one might qualify.

Greg,
You may be right. I don't know enough about the animals to tell, but I did read this on the web:

"Biologists estimated that in 1988 there were about 180 pine martens in Wisconsin. They now estimate (as of 1996) that there are 500-1000 martens in Wisconsin, mostly concentrated in the Nicolet and Chequamegon National Forests."

That photo is right in the Nicolet National Forest, so it may very well be a marten! Anyone else know?
