California Coral King Snake – not venomous – near Rancheria Creek May 2009.

We watched this fly/wasp dig a tunnel, presumable to lay eggs, at our campsite at Bonnie Lake just North of Dorothy Lake Pass on the Northern border of Yosemite.

The first picture of the green lizard was in Hawaii. Trying to get one of those things to stand still long enough to capture with a regular camera was a pain. Everything else was in ole Virginia during different hikes. I figured posting deer and bear pictures was a little too easy being that I could saddle a couple of them merely in my backyard as they are very populated here in the Old Dominion.

Goanna outside our kitchen window, irritating all the local birds. (He climbs trees and pinches eggs from nests).
Roger, I really like the look of that swamp wallaby. Do you have any recipes for wallaby stew?
