I have had my electronic version of issue ten for a few weeks. When can we expect a hard copy? I can't believe that I have not seen a single comment anywhere on this site about issue 10 at all.

How/where do we get access to the online version of issue 10?

Was it emailed to us?

I never received an e-mail, but when I opened the viewer software to look at something else it notified me that issue 10 was available.

I still have not received the hard copy of issue 10.
Anyone else? What's going on?

While I do appreciate the electronic version very much, I like the printed even more. Something about real paper (tangible format) that I like.

My patience with the printed version shortcomings and lack of shipments being on time is becoming very thin. So far, I should have magazines shipped to me for the next 5 years it seems! Paying every year for a new subscription, print delays and account mess ups, and backorder guarantees should last me well into the future! Does it seem the print version is becoming the "Big Sky International" of magazines. I mean: Pay for it upfront and not receive what you originally purchased for a couple of years? The electronic version doesn't count as that isn't what I have been paying for, it's just an added bonus now…

Again, I'm hoping things get sorted. I'm sure I will be getting this in the mail today right after I post this and I will be a happy satisfied customer once again.

It seems this gets brought up at least once a year or every late subscription mailing failure… Anyone at BPL noticing the the trends here?

Hi Aaron –

Yes, we are noticing the trends and we apologize for the Issue 10 delay. We're working very hard to get ourselves onto a 90 day print mag schedule, but we're not quite there. We are, however, much better off than a few months back.

I'll post again here as soon as I have an update re Issue 10 mailing.

Thank you for the reply Don. This is exactly why I continue with my subscriptions: Quick, polite and to the point customer service.

Issue 10 mailed this week. Thanks to all for your patience. We're working to get Issues 11 and 12 on a much better schedule.

Anyone receive their hard copy yet. I did receive my renewal notice right on time though! Priorities!-) And what is going on with BPL site and magazine subscriptions. Any way to even them out for those of us that have both but renewals are 6 months or more apart? So we can have just one subscription.

Issue 10 showed up yesterday.

But guys, I got my digital for 11 today and Zinio won't load it. Pout! It says there is an issue with it.

PostedOct 15, 2008 at 10:23 pm

Mine is still not working tonight :-( It takes me to Zinio's page that says this:

"Unable to complete issue loading. Error code: 8

We're sorry, but it seems there's an error in the configuration of this issue, and we will be unable to complete loading it at this time. Please try again later.

If you require additional assistance, please contact Zinio Customer Support via email at support@zinio.com and reference the above error number.

Version: 3.8.200808210918"

So yeah…not happy :-(

I hate to say this since previously I had eagerly anticipated my hard or electronic copy of the magazine, and enjoyed the vastly improved photo quality with the on-line version, but…
– After waiting for the delayed print copies, I don't even think about them now. I'm always surprised when the last two have shown up.
– I had difficulty downloading the last on-line version (or was it the one before, I don't even know), and haven't found the time to mess with it again. Why can't it be easier?

I get on BPL.com most days and at least 2/week, but the whole magazine portion has been a REAL dissapointment for the last 3(?!?) years.

BPL, you have to make this easier and more consistent for us. I work, spend time with my family, and try to squeeze in time for enjoying other things like reading the magazine, but it's gotta work without much hassle. Otherwise that window of opportunity is lost in my 150+ unread emails.

I have the Zinio fat client installed and it popped up a message yesterday that 11 was ready for download so I clicked Ok and it promptly downloaded it to my PC. No issues at all.

It doesn't matter if I go to Zinio directly through the link in the email or if I use Zinio that is loaded on my MacBook – I get that same message I cut and pasted.

Not happy.

I gave up on the print version a year ago. Despite repeated "we're working on it" notices from BPL, delivery was still irregular and the content became less and less interesting.

The electronic version included with my on-line subscription has worked without a hitch. One less periodical to clutter up my office.

I'd strongly advise BPL to just give up trying to offer a print version and use those resources elsewhere.

I know there are much more important things in the world to worry about- but the issue is the small size of a Readers Digest. I like the content but I was exspecting a magazine not paperback. No Worries!!
