Made this from a take out lasagna lid. Came out well and goes together in just a few seconds. I like that it packs into the pot and that the semi-permanently mounted hangers (the wire bends by hand) don’t interfere with packing up the stove

You should anneal the metal. I just put some oil on it then heat it up with a fan blowtorch till it burns off. Nothing fancy… Otherwise, it will crack in places and get some sharp edges.
Nice job! Curious, since you are using a windscreen, why not use the Stash Stove?
James, thanks for the heads up. I don’t have a torch but will watch for that. I made two screens from one lid in a few minutes and have a few lids so am covered for backups
Thanks Jon. The Stash stove performs very poorly in cold and wind which is why I’ve been using the PRD before I made the windscreen. The PRD and Stash pot performed much better over a wide range of conditions.
Now that I have a windscreen, I’d want to test it with the windscreen in adverse conditions before relying on it in the field. I’m sure it helps but the stash stove could barely boil water below freezing, conditions I’ll need the stove to work reliably in.
The high maximum output, regulator and igniter are attractive features lacking in the Stash stove as well.
