I purchased two of these from gearbest.com for $22.86 with shipping. I never received them. After 60 days and several communications they offered me a refund of $8.00 or $10.00 store credit, not an acceptable resolution. I hope your experience is better than mine. By the way, the price for this item fluctuates frequently at gearbest.com. A better alternative is to purchase this stove on eBay from a U.S. seller for around $16.00 including shipping to U.S. Good luck!

I've gotten a pair from gearbest. And others from smaller sellers on eBay out of China. It took a long time during the West Coast Lingshoremen's strike, but I got them all.

I guess YMMV, though.

The first BRS-3000T I ordered took a long time (almost 6 weeks) to be delivered. It was during the port worker strike.

I then ordered a second BRS-3000T which was delivered in less than 3 weeks.

On May 27, I ordered:

SUNREE Sports 3 Cree XPG2-R4 LED Headlamp

New Edition Convoy C8 Cree XM-L2 7135 x 8 LED 8-Mode 960Lm Highlight Flashlight Torch

They both shipped on June 2 and the headlamp arrived today (June 9).

I'm a very happy customer so far based on delivery times, price and quality of product (at least initial quality; I won't know for a while how these items will hold up to my abuse).

Of course YMMV.

Edited to add: NFI – just a happy customer!

I placed an order on 5/19, received notice that it had shipped on 5/20, and then nothing. I submitted an inquiry yesterday, and this is the response I received:

…shipping date: May 20,2015 17:10:11 PM PST, estimated time: 10-25 business days

For shipping leadtime please check here:http://www.gearbest.com/about/shipping-methods.html This can also be affected by factors such as customs, remote locations, peak shipping periods, national holidays and weather.

If 25 business days later, you still have not received your package, please contact us again: http://www.gearbest.com/about/contact-us.html.

I'm not holding my breath….

Update- The slow boat arrived yesterday… 25 days total. I take it all back.

Don't get upset over the long wait.

I think mine took about 20 business days to get here.

Hey, it's cheap!

20 days for my battery pack from Gearbest. No worries.

I ordered a 18650 charger from China before the longshoremen decided to hold the ports hostage. It took more than a few weeks before it arrived but it was a great piece of gear that I can't buy here in the US so it was worth the wait.

I ordered a <$2 flashlight from gear best (can't have too many with my job) so this was a great way of testing the waters with this company. If it gets here in less than a month, I'll be fine with that. YPatienceMV.

You'll have to decide whether saving money or speedy delivery is more valuable to you.

Just as another data point, I came home to find my burners had just arrived here in Oakland, CA. They were shipped on May 20th, and I did not have any previous orders with them.

I was playing around with the BRS-3000T and noticed that after usage, that the base was a little too hot to hold. I had removed the pin retaining the needle valve and enlarged the hole a bit. I placed a thermal-couple into the hole and boiled 2 cups of water. The base got up to 145 F which confirms what my fingers told me that the base gets hot. Is it a problem? I don't think so, but I suspect Roger can provide some insights. It may be a benefit at temperatures below freezing.

"the base was a little too hot to hold."

Do you mean below the air vent, around the valve?

The thermal couple was inserted in the same hole as the needle valve retaining pin: the body of the stove next the needle valve. If you zoom in on the picture and follow the wires, you can see the exact location.

62 C say.
Not unexpected. Hoping the O-ring is Viton, which is good to 200 C, else nitrile, which is good to around 120 C.
Yes, to what Nick asked: how hot was the canister? I suspect it was probably below 50 C, and hopefully below the 'ouch' temperature (40 C). Assuming that, then all that remains is some thermal feedback to vaporise the fuel in the canister.

Bottom line: watch the canister temperature.

Cheers

Ordered July 27. Here's the response to my inquiry: Dear Michael, Thank you for placing your order with Gearbest. We are extremely sorry that you have not received your order yet. With international surface mail the delivery is slower than expidited shipping(ie DHL). There are some external factors which may cause some delay on delivery time, such as remote locations, peak shopping and shipping periods, Holidays and Festivals, weather, customs clearance. Your order was shipped out on 27 of July, therefore your delivery deadline will expire on 27 of September. Please free to contact us on that date if you haven't received the package. We also stongly recommend going to your local post office in case they received it. Thanks for your understanding and assistance. Hope you will receive your package soon. Best Regards Eunice Gearbest Customer Service http://www.gearbest.com/

I ordered this stove last week. I paid the extra $1-2 for having it shipped with a tracking number and as of yesterday it's in San Francisco. I've had so many packages disappear overseas I never buy/ship without a tracking number anymore. tracking

Mine says its out for delivery with the Post Office. Tracking number was definitely worth it.

This is my first Canister stove. Should I be worried about how hot the base gets? I probably wont be using it longer than the 3-4 minutes it takes to boil water. but for those few occasions I wanted to cook easy mac or something on simmer should I be worried about the canister exploding or something? That high temperature is pretty localized right around the area where it screws on to the canister. Or should I only be worried about the temperature of the canister at the side walls?

> Should I be worried about how hot the base gets? Nope. Monitor the top outer corner of the gas canister with your finger. It won't get very hot. The threashold is when you go 'ouch' and retract your finger – from the canister. That's about 40 C, and the canisters are rated to handle 50 C happily. Read http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-bin/backpackinglight/exploding_gas_canisters_the_hazard_of_overheating.html for more info. Cheers

Update: I waited as instructed until September 27 and wrote back that I still had not received the stove. Grearbest says they will resend free of charge, expected delivery 10 – 25 "working days." FWIW an order for guyline placed the same day as the stove arrived on September 28.

I have ordered a total of 4 of these stoves from GearBest and although it took a while, I received all four eventually. Excellent stove for an unbeatable price.
