Hi all,
I've been using MSR Superfly propane stove, however i want to bring the weight down (at least for my solo trips if not for the group ones). So i';m open to smaller, less power stove and alternative fuel. I've built some alco stoves from soda cans and wood burning from Ikea utensil holder, but looking for other options.
I'm not sure which way to go – alco, esbit or lighter propane stove? Another reason for this questions is that I haven't looked at new gear in a while and don't know what's new and cool came out in the last year.
I'm leaning towards a lighter propane stove (maybe like this titanium one http://www.amazon.com/Olicamp-329015-Xcelerator-Titanium-Stove/dp/B007S3MHI0/ref=sr_1_11?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1429243756&sr=1-11&keywords=ultralight+stove
due to it's ability to serve for solo and multi-person trips, but can look at other, lighter options.
I'm usually cooking in titanium MSR Exo2 pot, but on solo trip may go with just Walmart's IMUSA mug.
