I was looking for an o-ring for my old white gas fuel bottle which I now use for kerosene to start fire when car camping, but they don't carry them anymore

my Garmin 60cSx is wearing out. The buttons keep chipping off so it's hard to push them in. I'm sort of waiting for a GPS that displays topo maps and sends/receives messages by satelite.

I suppose I'll go there and see if I can't find something. Maybe an AA battery?

(or to put it another way, REI doesn't really have anything I want)

Don't need anything, but got a $50 gift card for Christmas, so I kind of have to buy something.
Probably a new pair of Marmot Scree pants. Those Arc'teryx Alpha FL rainpants have been tempting me for a while, though, and a discount plus gift card is about the only way I'd buy them.

I'm thinking the new Exped Synmat Hyperlite might be a winner. The packability and weight look really tempting. I may also throw in a UL Schnozzel Pumpbag and have that double as a stuffsack for my quilt.

I am sort of glad to find out the Garmin Fenix3 probably won't qualify for the 20% off, because I can't afford it anyway:

It looks to have taken a pretty big leap forward compared to other ABC/GPS Watches though. The non sapphire/metal band is $500.

I was considering buying an MSR Windboiler, but I found a clearance bike that got marked down on a third round of markdowns and walked away with a carbon 105 bike for about 1/3 its price. After spending my dividend, of course.

I'm still thinking about the Windboiler, but I don't know if it'd be a big enough upgrade from my Sol and it's not any lighter than the Reactor I use in the winter.

I think I'll combine my dividend with the 20% off coupon (that should be dropping soon) and pick up a GoPro…

Probably a new pad – XLite or XTherm. Had my eye on an Exos 58, might take a look at the new Atmos AG packs. Got a nice dividend this year which of course causes more hand wringing over what to buy :) – it's easier when you only have $20!

I am more than likely going to get a 35L pack.Looking to find a nice carry on option that works for an overnight and winter activities. I have a ULA circuit and a smaller 20 liter camelbak so I could use something in between. My birthday is just around the corner so I am hoping the Fiance uses some of her (much larger) dividen on some Verglas gaiters for me.

I asked an REI rep about the new Exped mats – syn/downmat winterlite and synmat hyperlite – since they are available to pre-order @ REI. The expected ship date is April 6. The rep said you can still use the 20% coupon on these and preorder so long as they don't go on sale before Friday.

I'll probably pick up one of the new Sea to Summit Comfort Light sleeping pads, to see how comfortable they are.

I will not compromise on sleep so probably a summertime sleeping pad (full length TR x-lite) to go with my 40°F EE quilt. My regular pad is the insulated Astrolite 20R from Nemo but it kind of overfills many shelters.

Going to get the REI Flash for my son.

Here we go… order placed. Ended up going with the new Downmat Winterlite in L/W. If I don't like it, I should have time to send it back and reuse the coupon on the Xtherm Max L/W.

Replaced my old BWCA pots (over 20 years old) with Snow Peak al Dente cookset.

Just ordered a new free-standing tent. Big Agnes Fly Creek UL 2. I realized, when I was hiking the JMT last summer, that a free-standing tent would work better. Everyone was always waiting for me to pick a spot because I needed more room because of the guy lines,etc.

I said pants, but that Exped Synmat Hyperlite was too hard to resist at $85 with my discount and gift card.

I keep waffling between the synmat hyperlite and winterlite.

i was very excited to have an $80 dividend (bought a bike for my niece, and i buy clothes from REI) to combine with the 20% discount to get the synmat winterlite.

Yesterday my mom went into REI with me and asked me to buy her a shirt….then promptly chose a smart wool 150 long sleeve top. "this looks nice," she says…"buy this for me."

Yes, it is very nice. why not the $15 columbia close out special?? of course not……..

So much for my $80 dividend.

I need a new Exped mat too. I love my synmat ul7. However, I keep eyeing some iteration of downmat. I really like the extra r value. But the closest I can come, weight wise, to a synmat ul7 seems to be an additional 6 ounces. Hmmm….thing is, the synmat has been warm enough for three seasons so far (except once or twice, sort of). So I don't need the downmat really….talk me out of it, please!
