Macpac implements Polartech Alpha very well. This is a technical, slim fit but with long arms and an articulated hood. The zippered chest pocket and thumb loops are a nice touch. We like layering this over a trekking shirt during 3-season use and over a fishnet mesh baselayer for winter use. Add a wind shell and you have a very effective system for inclement weather hiking.
