It’s still in beta, so not fully functional, but looks like it may be very useful in the future. At the least right now you can scroll around the map to see fire locations and extent of fires.

Definitely good to have choices; I have noticed that http://inciweb.nwcg.gov/ often lags behind (there’s a fire that started yesterday in an area where I hike that isn’t even listed there; it is on WFNM).
WFNM also checks Twitter traffic (which may or may not be accurate, but it’s more data). I also like that eventually it seems we’ll be able to save places to our profiles and get alerts.
Yes, the lag is annoying. I am glad to see something else as a choice. Will be interesting to see how things develop. Thanks Mercedes.
