Does anyone have experience with Tru Nord Compasses?  Thoughts?  I’m looking for a new small button compass to replace my Suunto Clipper L/B compass as my Suunto works intermittently after only two years of use, and the Tru Nord 150C looks intriguing. Yes, the 150C is pricey for a button compass, but I’d rather spend a little more for something that’ll last plus it’s geo compensated and comes with a life time warranty regardless of the cause of failure.  I won’t use the button compass for detailed navigation, I have another compass for that, rather the button compass is used for a quick look for orientation.

that looks pretty nice – brass rather than plastic, made in U.S., fairly cheap – good for if you were lost, trying to go in a straight line rather than hike in circles
