Hi
We are planning a number of thru hikes around the world and I’m trying find medical insurance that extends beyond the traditional 30-60 days. All suggestions are appreciated. We are based in Australia but we are not returning between hikes.

Travel insurance and medical insurance are two different things. For travel insurance either world nomads or Global Rescue may be the best known. I think Rex wrote an article on this site about that topic.
Thank you for your reply. Most insurers only cover a certain period of time. For treks that are 4-6 months long fall outside the policy guidelines. Do you use know of a policy outside of the states that is unrestricted?
