It’s 3 layer goretex pro, 20D hadron ( LCP ) fabric, with an extra bottom zipper, and is 8.1 oz.
Adventure Alan has it tied for their #1 Ultralight jacket https://www.adventurealan.com/best-lightweight-rain-jacket/
I’m seriously thinking of picking this up as my main backpacking jacket.
I usually backpack in warmer conditions. This past month, I backpacked in the Sierra for 5 nights. It was so warm, I barely needed to put on a puffy in the middle of the night to pee. I don’t think I’d honestly go backpacking during cooler conditions in the shoulder season if I see potential rain. I’ve read that it breaths extremely well since the fabric is so thin. Plus you have the bottom zipper to dump heat if needed.
I feel like it’s the perfect jacket for lightweight ( I don’t consider myself an ULer, my base weight is around 13lbs ) backpacking.
What are peoples thoughts?
